Still.....

I'm still floundering out here without my computer...Have had no call about when it will be ready-and this is the 5th day ( since the call of last Thursday) of  what they said should be 5 to 7 days!

 Hate this stuff!

Anyway- just have to go with whatever comes down in this life and make the best of it!

Have to concentrate on the medical issues tomorrow and the next day and those things are the most important, of course!

Thanks to all of you  who have been checking back  and missing me a little !  :)  I appreciate all of you!

See you soon!  YES! I WILL!!

Me again! hahaha!!

Hello!

Well, I'm back but not really- just a quick little visit!  I'm still without computer so all I can do is just 'touch base' with you guys, as the popular saying goes!

Too much happening  to even go into any of it ...I mean world events etc- Lots of worrisome stuff and sadness and bad things happening!

Charles and I have been doing a lot of gardening things the past few days and are getting the place spruced up. Lots of flowers blooming and  green grass growing!!

Also- we both have some doctor's appointments  happening!  I had a toe problem that had to be taken care of this week! lol- Did I ever tell you about my weird little toes? No??  :)  Well,  the  full story will have to wait for a later time as I'm on Alli's computer and my time and  capabilities are limited on this computer!  :) Suffice to say I'm getting my toes straightened so they won't turn under and cause me pain and stress!
( Got more of that stuff than I need!)

Charles is scheduled for more skin surgery on July 1st, so please keep  your good , positive thoughts and prayers  open for us.

I don't really expect to be back online before , prolly, next Friday!   :(   It's been rough, folks!!

Miss you  all.

Love,

Junie

P.S.

Are you enjoying my music?  :)  Hope so!

Me again!

Hi!

 Well, here I am - back but just for the moment!

(Is it me for the moment??)

I am on Alli's computer again but can't seem to get the hang of it too well!
 (Happens when you get old, folks!!  :(  )  All I will be able to do is leave a post here!

Anyway,  just wanted to say I finally got a call back from the 2nd. computer store...and they say my computer has been examined and it's a cable inside that will require  having a part ordered ...and then the repairs done!  Am told it will probably be another 5 to 7 days...(but could be sooner!!)  ;(

 This has been just plain AWFUL for me!  I know it's only just been a week and a day- but it seems like several weeks to me! ( Yep-I guess I really AM addicted to blogging and all the other fun stuff I do on here- but- so what!!)

Meanwhile-back at the ranch... :) ... This past week I have been doing a good bit of gardening -and it's been quite fun, actually!  Have some more roses to plant- maybe tomorrow.

  Have also watched some TV- especially at night.  I have come to realize, all over again, that TV doesn't have a lot of appeal for me!

 Lots of stuff happening in the news tho, and it's hard to keep up with everything at the pace things are moving! Some scary stuff going on these days, all around the world!

Some sad happenings today and recently with the deaths of some well known people!

Hope all my blog pals are doing well- and I will be looking forward to catching up with you all-I hope it will be soon!

Love,

  Hi Folks,

Well this will be a quickie!  I'm on my Granddaughter's computer and just want to check in with ya!
 (This computer is unfamiliar to me so I'm only leaving a message- nothing more!)

Thursday the girls took my computer to Orlando for repairs and were told it would be 3 to 5 days before they could even get back with us about how long it would be...

OK- nothing to do but wait for a call back...

Today they called with some news -but not happy news at all! Alli took the call and they said it seems to be an internal problem that will require more time to take care of...and that it will be 10 days to 2 weeks before the job can be accomplished!  Yikes! Of course I hated to hear that news...sooo they told Alli if we could come to their place and pick it up and take it to another Mac repair place it could be done-maybe- in a lot less time! Yes!  That could be done~ as I don't want to be offline for all that time!

Charles and I would have made the trip down to take care of this but grandson Zach offered to do the transfer to the other shop for us-TOMORROW!  YAY!!

Hopefully, this will move along quicker for me!

I have missed blogging and Face booking and my message forums- and my  MUSIC - and my IM chatting  these past few days and nights!

I hope I will be back soon.

BTW-I hope all you guys and families have had a Happy Father's Day!  We had a good day here with all the family here!

Take care and I hope to see you all soon.

Love,

Junie

Woe is me! (and update)

Update at bottom!***

OK- Remember I mentioned I have been having computer problems? Well, the time has come when I must send my Mac off to get fixed up! (I HOPE!) My daughter is going to Orlando tomorrow and since that's the nearest 'Mac Fixer ' I had to make the decision to send it in by her and hope for the best!

The problem has been that it crashes a lot... with no rhyme or reason to any of it-as far as I can see. It crashes in all kinds of tasks and situations as I'm doing my stuff, every day; often several times each day! It has become most annoying-especially when it shuts down in the middle of a chat. It comes right back on...but still- a big PAIN- besides- this I'm sure is just leading to a huge problem if not fixed!

SOOO...tonight will be my last blogging for awhile-and my last night for visiting Facebook-and my last night for checking out the message forums that I visit...and my last IM contacts with friends...my last night for reading or sending e-mails....My last night for uploading any photos I might take! :( I tell you ...it's scary!! I have no way of knowing just how long I might be offline...but once before I was off for 3 months!! :(

Hopefully, this problem won't be that serious- but at best it will be a few days... because another trip will have to be made to Orlando for pick-up...even if the problem is solved quickly!

SO-YES~ WOE is me_DOUBLE WOE!

~~~
Coincidentally-as I was starting to write this post I got an email fwd that made me 'LOL '- and I needed that a lot!
(You won't believe the timing of this!!)
~~~

" Computer trouble!

I was having trouble with my computer. So I called Richard, the 11
year old next door whose bedroom looks like Mission Control , and
asked him to come over.

Richard clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem. As he was
walking away, I called after him, 'So, what was wrong?

He replied, 'It was an ID ten T error.'

I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired, 'An, ID ten
T error? What's that? In case I need to fix it again.'

Richard grinned. 'Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error
before?''

No,' I replied.

'Write it down,' he said, 'and I think you'll figure it out.'

So I wrote down: I D 1 0 T

I used to like the little shit........"

LOL-Thanks, Connie!

***
Earlier tonight I was still working at burning my picture files and other files to disks...In the middle of one of these attempts my computer crashed again and when it came back on, the blank disk wouldn't eject!
For hours I worried with this to no avail...Finally I made a last attempt by searching out info which I had not an inkling of what I was reading (these instructions in utility) LOL- I don't even know how I came to be checking there! Anyway-I found the magic word-'eject'-Finally!

I have decided- to heck with any more desperate burnings of files to disks! I have spent the whole day trying to organize and save my files - so as not to lose anything in this repair trip coming up! Worked my fingers to the bone- really!! Now I have decided I have to just trust it will work out ok.....or let the chips fall as they may!

BTW~ My girls told me I'm using the wrong term when I say that my computer crashes! LOL - That may be so...but it sure feels like a crash to me! I told them, 'It doesn't matter. My blog buddies know what I mean.. and they think I'm a bit of a ding bat anyway so it's ok!" ;)

~~~
OK-
I'd love to answer the messages I got today and yesterday but I just don't have the time or energy! I promise to catch up with each of you soon! I appreciate all of you very much-( old and new commenters) _all the kind comments !
See you all soon!
Hugs))
"Skating Away"- Jethro Tull ~ revisited!
Last night I got into Jethro Tull videos again! Seems that I get the urge for some Tull every now and then...and the nows and thens come pretty often!
:)
Actually, I heard of there having been a remake of 'Aqualung' after all these years.(though not real recently) Anyway, it got me thinking about Tull and wanting to check out some videos.
I was wondering if any of this 'newer' release could be found on Youtube! I did find some live shows of some of the tour connected with the release of this CD. This band is still good... well, Ian Anderson is, for sure!! What a unique entertainer this guy is!!!
I have posted this vid before but I'm putting it on again because this is one of my favorite Jethro Tull songs!
~~~~

Skating Away on the Thin Ice of a New Day
(Jethro Tull)

Meanwhile back in the year one
When you belonged to no one
You didn´t stand a chance son
If your pants were undone

´Cause you were bred for humanity
And sold to society
One day you´ll wake in the present days
A million generations removed from expectation of
A being who you really want to be

Skating away
Skating away
Skating away
On the thin ice of a new day

So as you push off from the shore
Won´t you turn your head once more
And make your peace with ev´ry one
For those who choose to stay, will live just one more day
To do the things they should have done

And as you cross the wilderness
A spinning in your emptiness you feel you have to pray
Looking for a sign that the universal mind
Has written you into the passion play

Skating away
Skating away
Skating away
On the thin ice of a new day

And as you cross the circle line
Well the ice wall creaks behind
You´re a rabbit on the run
And silver splinters fly in the corner of your eye
Shining in the setting sun

Well do you ever get the feeling
That the story´s too damn real and in the present tense
Or that ev´rybody´s on the stage
And it seems like you´re the only person sitting in the audience

Skating away
Skating away

I enjoyed my Jethro Tull night! ;)

These flowers are Crape Myrtles. This is my husband's favorite flowering bush/tree and he has A LOT planted around our place.

We have a few different colors but this dark red is one of the most flamboyant ones!

(Last year we counted 51 of these plants on our property! lol)

Enjoy your day!

Mellow Yellow Monday ~ June 15, 2009

It's time for our Mellow Yellow pics again!

Visit Drowsey Monkey to find other Yellow pictures!

~~~
Here are a few yellows that are in my life this week!
~~
We have a neighbor who has recently been sharing the bounty from his garden!
In addition to the yellow squash he has also been bringing us tomatoes, cukes and okra!
Nothing better than fresh picked veggies!
Thanks to our neighbor, we've been eating good lately! :)
~~
This flower is the Gloriosa Lily.
It's a rather new discovery for us.
Last year was the first time we had
any blooms from these vines.
We also have some of the red ones, as well as these yellow ones I have here!
The reds aren't blooming yet but will be soon, I think!
I'm excited about them! They are a quite interesting flower to me!
*Read more about them here!*
~~
I got this cool coffee mug for a birthday gift from my sister!
Yep! She knows me well! ;)
Have a happy 'Mellow Yellow Monday!'
"I Honestly Love You"
At the top of my play list today is a beautiful song by Olivia Newton-John!
(and a few more are also added)
There was a time in my life when Olivia was a top favorite of mine...it must have been in the early 70s when I was sooo into her music! I liked her sound which was mellow and country sounding ...but not TOO country! :) She sang the kind of songs that appealed to my romantic nature!
However, I had not played her music in a long time; but for whatever reason, today I was remembering some of her songs which I loved back in those early days. I found some of them and added them to my play list.
"I Honestly Love You" is a beautiful song - IMO -so I wanted to add the lyrics also!
Enjoy!
~~~

I Honestly Love You

(lyrics by Jeff Barry & Peter Allen)

Maybe I hang around here
a little more than I should
We both know I got somewhere else to go
But I got something to tell you
that I never thought I would
But I believe you really ought to know

I love you
I honestly love you

You don't have to answer
I see it in your eyes
Maybe it was better left unsaid
This is pure and simple
and you should realize
That it's coming from my
heart and not my head

I love you
I honestly love you

I'm not trying to make
you feel uncomfortable
I'm not trying to make
you anything at all
But this feeling doesn't
come along everyday
And you shouldn't blow the chance
when you've got the chance to say

I love you
I honestly love you

If we both were born
in another place and time
this moment might be ending in a kiss
But there you are with yours
and here I am with mine
So I guess we'll just be
leaving it at this

I love you
I honestly love you
I honestly love you

It's time for posting our Camera Critters pictures!
This time I'd like to have you all meet 'April!'

We got her this past April so 'April' became her name!

She seems lonely so I think we will have to get her some friends soon!
( We were told she was expecting a baby but I think we were misled! :) )
If we get another girl goat THIS month I guess I'll have to name her 'Junie Rose 2!' :) That's ok!
