Today's ride-Inverness

Today we took a long ride over to Inverness. That's about 40-50 miles south- west of Ocala. The day was just perfect for a ride; with the sky so blue and with fluffy, white clouds! This was the most gorgeous spring day we've had , so far; not even requiring long sleeves!

We went to this restaurant we had discovered in Inverness, on past rides. It's called 'Stumpknockers' and the speciality there is CATFISH! We've never found any better Catfish- except in Leesville, Louisiana, at a place called 'Billy Goat Hill! YUM!!
'Stumpknockers' also serves excellent fried mushrooms as appitizers! This is a favorite of mine!!

The ride over-the meal-and the return trip home- were all just perfect!

We stopped by a lake on the way back and got a few pics!

OH! And that blue sky that I, so, love!

  1. Sounds like a lovely day! And what beautiful scenery... I love that Spanish Moss in the trees! Reminds me of when I lived in Charleston, SC... good memories of that time. :)

  2. I love the Spanish Moss too! One of my favorite things about this area!

I have never been to Charlston, but have been to Savannah, Ga. I guess they are pretty much the same , as for scenery!
