Magnolia

This is a close-up of a Magnolia bloom!

These flowers are big and beautiful-some measure to 7 inches or more!

The Magnolia tree grows throughout our state of Florida, from the central part on-and in many of the other southern states.

  4. Hi Junie,
the magnolia is very beautiful, and the perfume heavenly, they do grow here in oz too, not naturally of course.

Loved the pictures of your roses too, gardens do take a deal of work, and you do have to have the inclination do do it.

  5. Hi Jacqui,

    So you have Magnolias too!

Thay's amazing -to know that you all have so many of the same plants that we do here!

Yes, roses take a lot of work and I'm finding I'm just not able to do as much as I once could ! I like the old fashioned roses that just keep growing and producing even without expert care...Lik that dark pink one I put on my post yesterday!

Hope things are well with you.

  6. Peter,

I had the idea from your Holtieshouse photo that you were in a more tropical place, so it surprises me that Magnolias grow there!

I don't think we have them in South Florida- or at least I don't remember any being there!

Yes, they are very lovely. My mom loved them a lot.

    Have a good day (Night!)
