Message of the day~

I got this from a friend, in an email. I like it!
Makes sense to me!

~~~
Message of the Day is:
Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly , Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile.
Life is unpredictable - Eat dessert first.
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance....
~~~

I decided to post the above after going to Janet's blog and reading some sad news!

Love,

Junie

  2. Bonnie,

    Thanks!
    I have had this feeling of our time being so limited and uncertain, here, for a while now!

    You may have noticed how I embrace life these days! :)

    I felt very sad when I read Janet's post, although I didn't know her blog friend at all.

    Take care, Bonnie,

    Love,

    Junie

    June I'm one of the worst about "some day" going to do "something" while i sit here and work my 18 hour days and let everything pass me by. Whew -- scary to think it can all be gone in a flash!

  4. Bonnie,
    yep- scary but true!

    The hardest thing is in not being able to SAY the things we feel to the ones we care about!

    ...I'm speaking from my personal experience with my mom. Even tho I know I did the best I could (often under very difficult circumstances) I still had regrets that, perhaps, I could have done better. I could have put my feelings into words more often.

    there is a song by Mike and the Mechanics -- i think it was on one of the CDs i sent you -- The Living Years. very fitting for this topic. and because of my circumstances i think of it often -- as i often related to Cat's in the Cradle by Harry Chapin. Your mom knew what was in your heart, and if she had any doubt, i'm sure David talked to her.

  6. Bonnie,

    Thanks! I know Mom knew I loved her.

    Yer right! That song is very fitting! I just found the most beautiful Youtube vid of it- and I looked up the lyrics! It's a very touching song, indeed! (and- yes- it was among those you sent me- also- 'Cat's in the Cradle')

    I think I will link to that video in my next post.

  7. How very sad Junie. I just went to Janet's site and then on to her friend's site and read the post by her daughter, Lydia. Just like that...it can happen so fast. There is a definite lesson to be learned by all of us here. Thank you Junie.

  10. Hi Momma,

    I like that a lot too!

    It's exactly the way I've come to feel about life, these recent years!

    So maybe I'll make a plaque too! :)
