Feeling blue today...

...Well- knowing how I am about my pictures I guess it's not surprising that I'm feeling a little let down today!

Seems I have reached my picture quota with blogger! Geesh! I didn't know there WAS a quota or I would have posted more sparingly......

:( Have to figure this stuff out! OK- I know I need to resize my pictures...but I'm not sure how to do that!

I'll ask ALLI! :) She knows everything! ;)

  1. Yeah, I noticed that when you pull up the browse for pictures box, at the R hand corner it tells you how many...oh..something like..145mb out of 1500, something like that...I guess you'll need to either erase really early post, or copy them to some where else then delete..or just delete pictures. But why post with pictures if you have to end up erasing them for more room?!!! Let me know what you figure out!hughugs

  2. Wish I could help you, Junie, but I'd have to see your computer! I'm sure Alli will know what to do,though! Don't give up!

Meantime, if you wanted room for a few more pics, you could go through your old posts and see if there are any you feel like you could delete, like if there are lots of the same thing or something. Not fun, but it would free up a bit of space to post a couple of pics until Alli can come up and help you resize them.

Resizing is a pain, though! That's why I sometimes can't be bothered to post pics in my blog - because I don't want to make them all smaller first! It used to be, before Google took over Blogger, that Blogger would automatically resize pics for you when you uploaded them... that was a nice feature, and I miss it!! I think it's rude of them to have a quota for pics! I suppose that's so Blogger doesn't crash from having too many pictures posted at once. But it's annoying.

Have you looked or emailed them to see if there's any way you can get more space? I'm sure other people with pics must be having the same problem, so there must be something that can be done about it.

  3. You could get yourself a free Flickr account and then cut and paste the links. Linking to pics on the web won't cost you any Blogger space. It's a bit more of a hassle, but not too much -- it's workable.

  4. Thanks! You have all been helpful!

I DO have a photo Bucket account so I can work with that for now. I need Alli to show me a few things!

Actually, she used Photo Bucket to put those awards on my side bar recently... LOL- but I just let her do it and didn't watch her.

Oh, well- I'll work it out!

I really don't want to erase my old posts unless I have to- because I'm often checking back on things.

Thanks a lot, guys and gals!

  6. You don't have to erase the posts, Junie - just the pictures!

But yes, Photobucket should work just fine. Underneath each picture is the link for it, that you can paste directly into Blogger (it's the one that starts with [img] )

    Give it a try! :)

  8. I'm relieved to know that I wasn't the only one that didn't know about this limit on pictures!

Actually it DOES have the info right on the box that comes up when you go to post pictures. I just never had noticed!

Not surprising that I ran out of space as I must post more pictures than anyone else!!

I'm working on getting an upgrade!

    (IF I did it right!!!)
