~It's the only way I'll know you've visited!
Is that a Mon Chi Chi doll with the NY t-shirt? I have a picture of Shawn as a little boy holding a dark brown fur one he had:-) Your dolls are so beautiful, dear Junie, and I remember my mom often talking about the Kewpie doll she had when she was a little girl!! xoxo
Well, I didn't know what that little guy was called. I got him as a souvenir when we visited NYC many years ago. He doesn't fit in too well with my other dolls so he gets moved around a lot!...that's why I named him 'Slip Kid'... I keep misplacing him! :)
I always wanted a Kewpie Doll when I was a little girl but never had one. We bought this one at an antiques show in Miami, probably 25 years ago!
Such cute dollies. My FIL bought a little doll for 10 cents at a garage sale. He loved that little doll and kept her sitting on top of their fridge. She had a pouty face, and he would dress her up and even painted her tiny nails. These dolls made me think of my dear FIL whom I miss very much.
That is a great collection of dolls JR.
