Shadow Shot Sunday~ 2~6~'11~ Charles in the shade at Cedar Key

Shadow Shot Sunday

This is my husband  Charles, in the shadow of a  tree at Cedar Key, Fl. This was in front of a charming little gift shop.


I believe this was 2 years ago on our 48th. anniversary. We had a little get away trip there to celebrate our day!

Cedar Key is a small island  off the coast- no more than a 2 hour drive from our house. We enjoy going there and I hope we can go again before too long, if only for a day trip.

The Island and town were named for the many Cedar trees that grow there. It was determined that the trees are actually 'Juniper' trees and not 'Cedars.' 
( ..  appropriate, since one of my nick names is Juniper! The ironies of life tickle me! )
   :)

In April we will celebrate our 50th anniversary!
(YES!! That's a long time!)
We jokingly add,about this time of year,"If we make it to April 27th."-insinuating- we might get a divorce before then! ;)
(only in jest-don't worry!)
We have made no plans yet as to where we might go or what we might do this time!
Whatever...it will be something simple! lol- That's what we are-and simple pleasures suit us fine!

    Happy anniversary! My parents were married for 56 years, and when my mom died unexpectedly, my dad said, "Fifty-six years weren't enough." He really loved her, and I suspect that's true for the two of you as well.

    That perforated hat adds such a classy shadow to a true gentleman. Captured shadows are elegant...

    We will be 25 years in May. Fifty is a wonderful milestone, a testament to true love! It has never gotten old, and never, ever will...
