This is a picture our grandsons had painted and gave to their grand dad on Father's Day!
This is a quote from the book, 'Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil,' a true murder mystery;
(...but oh, so much more...) written by John Berendt and set in Savannah, Ga. This book reads like fiction and the real life characters are more colorful and outlandish than those even the most creative of writers, using only their imaginations, could come up with!
This quote is attributed to one of the characters in the book, the poet, Conrad Aiken!
After reading that book my husband told all the family that this is what he wants on his 'Headstone' when he goes...
Our boys had a friend paint this picture for Charles as a surprise...LOL-He loved it!!
Maybe this will be enough to satisfy... :)
because I really don't want that on his stone, as I will be sharing the other side of it...I'd rather believe that our destination'IS' known!
:)
Love,
Junie
