Fall display

We put together this fall display for the front yard.

I usually just have 2 pumpkins for making Jack-O- Lanterns and usually make one a happy face and one a scary, frowny face with rows of sharp teeth! :) Guess I will make 2 of each this time! I will carve the pumpkins on Halloween! I always did this when my kids and Grands were 'KIDS' and it's just so hard to give up the traditions! I never will as long as I'm able to lift a pumpkin and hold a carving knife!

Happy Fall, all!

  1. Hi June ~~ You certainly go to a lot
of trouble to make things nice for Fall
and Halloween. I also like rank Sinatra
singing anything. His phrasing was so good. Thanks for your comments June, glad you liked the poems etc that I post. Not to mention the blonde jokes.
Take care my friend, Love, Merle.

  2. Hi, Merle,

Yes, I always like to decorate for all the holidays!

I always did a lot when my kids were little- then the grandkids! Our home was where it ALL was happening! :)
That was THEN...It's different now but I just can't seem to get out of the habit! ;)

Oh, well- it's fun to do these things!

Also - we're having company the next few days- so it will be nice having things looking festive!

I may get behind with my blog reading but I'll catch up!

    Take care,

    Love,

    June

  3. Your decorations look so festive. Ours would be soaking wet right now! Do you get rain at this time of year??

  4. Hi Sue,

Yes, we'll prbably have some rain during Oct., but that's ok. None of this stuff was expensive so I figure it's worth doing! And the rain won't mess it up that much anyway!

(the hay bales C. gets free- the cows will eat the pumpkins the day after Halloween)

  15. Lovely displays, thank you for sharing, a friend of mine passed the comment yesterday, that she always really appreciates things that people do themselves be they presents for others or displays that give pleasure to others. I agree with her thinking it is very special when people give the "gift" of their time in this way, thanks for visit to my site. Cheers Margaret.

  16. Thanks Margaret,

I have always liked the little, personal things too.

In presents , given or received- and in the extra effort in making things pretty for all the holidays.
