On the farm...
Junie & the cows!
Today Charles called me from the pasture when he went to feed the cows to tell me we had another baby girl calf !
She is a little dark brown calf-and right away the name Gypsy came to mind! So I told him to name her Gypsy Rose! :) He didn't like it, much, but I always go with my first thought in names...well- almost always!
Here are the pictures of the babies!
Top to bottom:
Gypsy Rose
Silver Bell
How-Now
~~~
~and here is a little Bull a little bit older than these 3 babies!
His name is 'FuzzyFace!'
~~
Last but not least I give you 'Big John.'
This is the new bull we bought from a neighbor. Charles is quite pleased with this one.
...a good day in the country!
Love,
Junie
Oh they are soooo cute!! I love the names you've picked, especially "How Now"
ReplyDeleteMy grandma would often greet us by saying "How Now Brown Cow" which seems sort of silly, doesn't it??
:)
Hi Susie,
ReplyDeleteLOL- you kinda begin to run out of names after a few years of having cows,goats,pigs,ducks,geese, chickens,dogs, cats,fish,hamsters,gerbils,mice, a monkey-a pony-an Iguana -snakes - turtles...
:) I'm sure I'm not remembering ALL the critters we've had over the years!
...Well- a family can have a lot of pets over 45+ years!
;) I think that was a cute way for your grandmother to greet you!
Aww they're so cute. Silver Bell is my favorite. =]
ReplyDeleteYep- Silver Bell is kinda special!
Junie, I came here to the comments to tell you that I thought "How-Now" was the most hilarious name ever for a brown cow, but I see everyone has beaten me to it! That name is soooo funny! I've had a chuckle over it a couple of times now! :)
Hi Skye,
ReplyDelete:0 I'm happy you find the name funny! Well- it's the first name that came to me when C. told me about the little brown calf! So she got stuck with the name!;)
