  5. What a pretty butterfly, Junie! The only place I've seen one like that is in the butterfly house at the Life and Science Museum in Durham. I'm sorry your day has been sad; I hope things will look brighter for you tomorrow. I bet you are anxious about Tina's surgery too... I know how scary it is when your kids have to go through something hard, and I bet that doesn't change when they're all grown up! I will be thinking of her on Monday and hoping all goes well. I enjoyed the pictures of your new calf and of the General... he really is a striking and intriguing kitty-cat! I hope Chris's birthday party on Sunday will be enjoyable for all of you.

  6. Dear Rachel and Tammy,

Thanks to both of you for your cheery greetings and good wishes.

I know it's mostly the surgery coming up with Tina that has me down today.

Rachel- glad you like my cows and The General!

  7. Hi Skye,

Yes, am anxious about the surgery and you're right- you always worry no matter the fact that they are grown up.

:) happy you liked the pictures of cows and General! He really is a handsome guy, isn't he!!

...That butterfly is not as colorful as some but still it's very striking! They seem to like the Lantana that I have planted there in front- better than any of my other flowers.

Take care, Skye-and thanks for coming by.

  8. Such a stunning picture, Junie! It's funny, when I first saw it, my first thought was that the markings reminded me of a zebra...then I read the link you gave us and find out it's called a Zebra longwing butterfly! lol I'm sorry to hear your day wasn't a very good one...you know I'm here for you if ever you need to talk! Love ya! xoxo

  9. Hi Pea,

Happy you liked the butterfly pic. It is a pretty butterfly.

I guess Tina's upcoming surgery has me worried...

Also it's a very stormy night here. The power has gone off once already but was back on pretty quickly.

Oh well- hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

Thanks- It's so good to have blog friends .

    Hugs)))

  18. Judy,

I have always wanted to go to one of those butterfly places, but never have...We DO have one in Gainesville- about 35 miles from us-so we should go one of these days!

Thanks for your good wishes for my daughter- It will soon be behind us-and just have to trust it will go well.
