Love that picture of you and Charles from 1960...noticed the Christmas tree with tons of tinsel on it, that's the way I LOVE a tree:-) To this day I still put tinsel on mine, just not as much as we used to put on it in days gone by. You wrote a beautiful poem, dear Junie, and it's true how we always think things will never change but they do and sometimes the adjustments we must make are a bit hard to make!! xox
Thanks! That picture was on the Christmas before we married the following April.
That tree was at our friend's house but I always liked a lot of tinsel on out early trees too. Haven't used any in the last few years, tho. For one thing...can you still get that kind that has the HEAVY feel to it? The kinds I see these days is very light wt.
I also remember seeing red and green tinsel- but I always liked the silver!
