Friday's Fences_ Feb 18,2012

~~~
~~
This is a post remaining from what was once a board fence, separating our yard from the wildflower meadow at our place!
We now have old  farm tractor wheels in a row,
separating the yard from the spring wildflowers.
Love,
Junie
Did Charles weld a post on to to the bottom of eacy wheel or how do you keep them up. I don't see a visible means of support.
Hi Cliff,
YES!! That's how he did it! He cemented the iron posts into the ground, and that secured the wheels. In fact , with those 2 bigger wheels, he dug them out at an old place that wanted to get rid of them.They were put in the ground there with those posts. He dug those monsters up-cement and all-and brought them home and we redid them here, along with the other wheels he had found before. ~~~I helped!!~~~ :) These old wheels are among my favorite things !
I'm sure I could live with old wheels serving as a fence!
