Looking back

As our 45th. anniversary approaches I find myself reflecting backward to our earliest days!
I realize how blessed we have been with so many happy years-so many good times with our family.
And-still- some good years ahead! :)

Happy Anniversary, Charles!

Happy Anniversary to you both, Walter & I will have our 7th this year, we will not reach all those milestone ones, but they will be good ones anyway.

Thanks for the encouragement about my Journey blog. I wrote another one tonight, but it vanished when I posted it, so keep your fingers crossed for me that it appears again.

I'll be off the air for the next few days, am going to a place where there is no power, phones or even cell phone coverage.

Hi Jacqui,

Thank you for the good wishes for our anniversary. We don't have anything special planned, except dinner out.

Yes, hope your new travel post shows. Sometimes I find I have to click and refresh the page to get a new post to show!(that's the little curled arrow in the bar at the top of the page-if you don't know -which you probably do know!)

:) enjoy your trip...:) - sounds rather cut-off from the world! I'd be scared! haha

What a lovely couple, then and now! Hope your weekend is going great Junie. The rain finally let up enough to mow this evening, lol :)

Thanks, Carolyn,

Glad your rain let up and you were able to 'Cut Some!' :) (I have a sister who always put it that way!)

I did a little bit of gardening today...planted a couple of roses!

Tomorrow I think we're celebrating my grandson's B'Day-a week late already!

Brian was 21 on Apr. 16th!

I'm loving the hairstyles. Why, is that a mullet I detect on your husband, in the last picture? :)

Happy Anniversary!!

Hi June ~~ Happy anniversary to you and
Charles. That is quite a milestone and it is great to know you two have been so happy. I hope you have many more happy years together. The photos are lovely.
I am at Petr's house tonight, but move on tomorrow to see 2 of John's 3 girls.
We expect to be home by Thursday. I have
missed my friends, but having a good time. Cheers, Merle.

Stringman,

Lol- no mullet on C....or were you kidding! :)

He had short hair during those early days on the police dept., although in that pic it looks long in back, due to shadows.

The middle pic of me is one of the few times I have had my hair really short!

45 years! What an achievement worth celebrating.
I hope you have something nice planned to celebrate.

The pictures are so great. I love looking at photos of days gone by. Hair styles and clothing styles, etc...
You and Charles look very retro cool!

Hi, JD,

Yep, it's been a long time! I tell him, 'Our 45th. IF we make it that long!'...lol- looks like we might! :)

As for styles, I haven't changed all that much over the years, in my hair style. The one with the short hair was just for a brief spell! Of course, my hair was darker when I was young...I keep it light now because of the gray- lol- it blends better with blonde!

In the early 60s- (the one with my babies) dresses were worn more often, by all ladies, than pants or jeans!

NOW- in my OLD AGE I wear mostly jeans!! :)

:) thanks for reading and your comments!

I love how the girls had to have their dolls in the picture with them! I remember being the same way when I was little! :)
