October Ride

Today, for the first time in at least a couple
months, we went for a ride on the Victory. The Love Bugs prevented us from riding at all, in the month of September!

The weather was just perfect today, with the blue sky I love. It felt wonderful to get out with the cool breeze in our faces, and no Love Bugs to contend with!

We went out to Hardee's and had our favorite chicken-biscuit- then just rode west!

Here we are getting gas!

I spent a lot of time doing this:

...just looking up at THIS!

...And here are some pretty scenes along the way. Charles said these weird looking little buildings are where they make charcoal! ( LOL- how would I know?....I just thought they looked kinda cool!)

Our last stop was at the Flea Market where we saw a table with a bunch of Santas!
Charles told me to pick one so I picked this guy! Here he is posed with some of my favorite music vids and CDs. He's a fine addition to my collection of Santas!

It was a good day!

Hi Sue,

Yes, the Victory is a motorcycle, by Paloris (American made) We've been riding for just over 3 years-although Charles had been a motorcycle cop for awhile on the Sheriff's Dept. in Miami, Fl. I was always afraid to ride -until I got OLD! :) Love it now!

I added a link to one of my poems about riding...you'll have to scroll down past a few poems to find it!

Thanks for reading me!

Hi Joy,

Yes, I love looking at the sky-whatever time of day or night!

We have fun riding! Lol- That's a pic I took of myself while riding! Needless to say, I discard a lot of them! haha

(sometimes you can get TOO upclose and personal with that camera! haha- but this one kinda shows the way I feel riding!

Hi Jeanette,

A chicken/Biscuit is a deep fried ,battered chicken fillet-in a biscuit. (flour- not a sweet cookiebiscuit :) All the fast food places sell their own but we like Hardee's best.

About Santas... I have a big collection. Have posted some in my early posts here!

In the past I was into doing crafts and Santa was my favorite thing to make!

I'll be posting some soon in my craft blog!

Hello Jne ~ I am glad that you and Charles had a good ride and a happy day.
The photos are nice, lovely blue sky and that vase is just beautiful and would be even without the flowers. Take care, Le, Merle.

There's no doubt that you two know how to spend a Saturday. Sound like fun.
Santa collecting sounds appealing to me. He looks good.

Hi June, do you smile like I do when you type Hi Cliff? those charcoal burners would be anything but "cool" my Dad used to make charcoal way back in the 1940s to burn in "gas producers" which helped eke out our limited supply of petrol (gas) in those tough times.

Peter,

;) I never thought of it - that 'Hi (HIGH) Cliff!' Now - I will he reminded every time and have to smile!

I had never seen those Charcoal burners- had no idea what they were ...;) I guess the wouldn't be that COOL!

( you have a lot of interesting things to tell about from your past! )
