Mission Impossible...

Facing a
, seemingly, impossible mission of de-cluttering my house, (and zooming in on the books at this stage) a favorite TV show of the 60s came to mind!

Oh!! I loved that show!!
Look here!

I thought Peter Graves was just the coolest guy ever!

:)

Well...he was!

~~~~
...your mission... if you choose to accept it... is to reduce this collection of books by at least one half.... good luck,
Junie Rose...
~~I wonder...will my house self-destruct if I fail?~~
( Wish me luck!)
Hi June ~~ Good luck - it looks like
a big job. But the hardest part is making a start and it's surptising
what can be done in an hour or two. If you do a good job, then I might do it also, Glad you liked the cute appendix.as well as the tiles and map of Australia. Take care, my friend,
Love, Merle.
I hope to someday start on my stuff in an effort to make it look like your stuff before you start on it.
Yeah, I loved that show too. I don't remember being enamored with Peter Graves as you were though.
Looks like the local library is about to get a great donation. I too, have lots of trouble organizing and slimming down the books in my office.
Here's a suggestion. Each morning, choose seven books to box up to get rid of. Do this for a month or however it takes to get down to a reasonable number. Then reorganize whatever is left.
Oh yes, take the seven books to the library or Salvation Army right away the same day so that you can't add them back to the pile to keep.
Really, this works.
b13,
lol- no mystery about this mom!
I just like to read...and a lot of these are my husband's books!
When you live long you collect a lot of'stuff!'
Hi Merle,
All those books stacked in untidy piles on top of the one book shelf are books I had to take from the window shelf in our bedroom...am having to re-do things in there. SOOO- have to get rid of a lot of paperbacks on the shelves to make room for these. Lots of these will have to go in my husband's den...lol- HE will have to deal with them...somehow!
I'll visit you again soon.
Hi Cliff,
Maria
and
Pea,
LOL- looks like an impossible mission, doesn't it?
I have always been fond of reading and if I find a writer I like I usually want to read everything they have available....and- I like to re-read books too!...I like to get a new book by any of several of my favorites as soon as they are out...sooo- I have a lot of hard covers of my favorites...
Also- a lot of these books are my husband's....The kids often give both of us books for gifts (knowing we both love to read)
All of these books are spread out through 3 different locations in the house. The clutter of books atop that bookcase had to be moved from the bedroom ...sooo they are the ones that really have no place to be right now!!
Maria, sounds like a good suggestion you gave me....but I think I will need a more major purge this time! :)
"Mission Impossible" - a great show, ehh!!
Hi Tammy,
Yah! I'm being smothered with WAY too much stuff in this house! (Not ONLY the books!) :(
I HAVE to make some changes!
