Friday's Fences-Mar 22, 2012
~~~
~~
This fence and wildflower scene is from a different year and season here in north Florida...this was summer - not spring!
I've always liked this pic so decided to share it today for my "Fence Post!"
(click on pic to enlarge)
This ride in the country that day, (on our motorcycle) the beauty and wonder of it all, gave me the inspiration for this poem.
Enjoy!
Roadside Meadow Flowers
Nothing fills me, so,
with joy that’s most complete,
than roadside, meadow flowers...
whose names I do not know…
(No pampered garden blossom
could ever be so sweet)
Their name’s of no importance…
just their golden glow!
Their beauty overwhelms.
So abundantly they’re sown.
Each golden face turned upward
to catch the warming rays.
There is no grander sight –
these eyes have ever known.
So to the ‘Master Gardener,’
I give my love and praise!
Beautiful poem, and picture, Junie. Yes, the Master Gardener; where would we be without Him?
((hugs))
There is something about seeing wildflowers bursting out in front and behind roadside fences!
Beautiful shot and poem.
Love the framing of this shot! Adding the borders make it a post card perfect photo!
How beautiful Junie! That's the quientessential fence scene with all those wildflowers. Wish it was in my yard.
Great post.. Thanks
a lovely spring time post :)
A really lovely fence and flowers! I used to live in Mary Esther, myself when our daughter was small. Hope you have a great day!
Love that old fence, June! And the flowers are beautiful!
Each season has its own charms, doesn't it? Love it when nature takes over and refuses to be "fenced in" as in this photo. Glad you have this one to help bring back memories of great summers past.
Very nice photo.
Regards and best wishes
Beautiful. Junie, love it!
