James Taylor Christmas CD

My son, Christopher, surprised me with an early Christmas gift today!

It's this James Taylor Christmas CD!

Chris and I have always shared a love for Christmas and all that goes along with it;
especially MUSIC!

I will enjoy this! In fact, I am listening to it as I type this! It's very beautiful!

What could be better than James Taylor singing Christmas songs?

This is Chris at Christmas, 1963 - age 4.

Thanks, Chris!

Love,
Mom

those little guitars must have been all the rage in the early sixties...I have an old family video from 1961 where the little boys received one and had a ball!
:-D

Yep! I remember Chris would make up cowboy songs and perform for us!

;) No! He never learned to play guitar for real...

Hi June ~~ What a lovely Christmas gift
from your son. And early is good so you can enjoy all the way to Christmas, not
that that s too far away. Thanks for your comments, I liked the meals on wheels too. Glad you liked the last post too and I hope you are cheered up now and feeling happy again. Take care, Love, Merle.

Our radio station is already playing the tunes of Christmas.
Last evening, I got to hear James Taylor singing "Baby, It's Cold Outside" then 15 minutes later the same song done by Lou Rawls.
Nice, very nice. I might have to put this on my Wish List.

You're lucky to have a son willing to help you out so early in the season.

Hi Sue,

Three of my 4 grandkids play guitar. :)

None of my kids ever did, tho! :(
Nor did I!

I wrote on my blog that I have ordered the cd by Lou Rawls. I'm thinking of a couple others The season is still so very young.

Youngest son plays the guitar--wants to earn a living at it, more than teaching. He's a Guitar Performance Major at ISU, and is learning much about ensemble and contracts and studio technology.
Work at what you love, and it will never seem like work. (That may be a misquote of somebody.)

Diane,

Another Christmas CD I have to tell ppl about is Dan Fogelberg's ' The First Christmas Morning.' It is a mix of traditional Christmas carols and some of his own songs!
It is just beautiful- It's usually the first cd I want to play each Christmas season! (This time I played the James Taylor one)

Good luck to your son with his music. None of my kids have had formal training- but at least one has hopes of a career. (Brian's songs can be heard following my sidebar)

Thanks for coming by.

I've had Dan's Morning cd for years. I do love it--cry every time I hear IN THE BLEAK MIDWINTER.
I listened to your guy Brian a few days ago--he's got talent.

Blogging has opened interesting things for us!

And thanks also for checking out my grandson's music!
I like the way he sounds.

As for blogging-Yes- it has opened up a big part of the world for us all! It amazes me how much we all have in common- in one way or another! :)
