Visit from the girls!

OK!!

We just had a surprise visit from Daughter, Tina and granddaughter, Allison!

They had 2 items of news for us!

First off! Take a look at this! Is this a girl to be proud of - or what!!

( click to enlarge)

(Perfect score on FCAT test!)

Way to go, Alli! :)

Alli is in 10th. grade this year!

~~~
The second bit of news was more unexpected than the first!
The two of them have planned a 'spur of the moment' trip to NYC .... leaving TOMORROW night!
They will only have Thursday night -Friday-and Saturday- and fly home Saturday night!
'Teddy Geiger' will be at Macy's to announce the winner of a contest (World Aid's Day Lifebeat contest-for Aids/HIV awareness) Alli entered the contest but has no idea if she might be a winner!
She's seen Teddy Geiger several times in Florida and Georgia...LOL- She expects a surprised look on his face when he sees them there! I BET!
Here she is with Teddy Geiger, after one of his shows recently.
Alli's 16th. Birthday is the day after Christmas and Tina wanted to do something very special for her . She's always felt Alli gets short changed for her birthday, since it's the day after Christmas!
I know this will be an exciting trip for them!
(I hope they take lots of pictures-and not just of TEDDY! :) )
Wow, that will be an exciting trip for Alli!! What kind of a contest was it that she entered? And also, what is the FCAT? I have never heard of it before. Nonetheless, I'm sure a perfect score is something to be very proud of!!
Hi Alli,
I know you'll have fun- I only wish you had a little more time to see the city!
OK- You MUST have a 'Dirty Dog' from a street vender!
You MUST have a 'Salty Pretzel' from a street vender!
You MUST try the authentic New York Pizza!
You MUST go to 'Strawberry Fields' in Central Park!...Also see the Dakota!
You MUST go to the top of Empire State Building!
You MUST enjoy the street musicians !
(and give them $$$ :) )
And- most of all- you HAVE to go to see where the Twin Towers once stood!
Hope you can do all that!...AND MORE!!
Love ,
Ginga
Hi Skye,
FCAT is the 'Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test'
This is the testing that is done, nationwide, for all students. A perfect score, I'm sure, is not that common!
~~~
AS for that contest- this site explains it a little better-

http://www.lifebeat.org/events.cfm/view/detail/id/1334

(sorry-you'll have to copy and paste to get to it)

lol- the prize for winning is a Private concert for a small group-by Teddy Geiger!
- It was a nationwide contest so Alli, most likely, will not win that!- But wouldn't it be so cool if she did? haha

Anyway- I'm sure my girls will have fun visiting NYC.

Haha i hope I can do a lot of those things on that list.

Oh, and the FCAT isnt nation wide, it's florida's test. Each state has pretty much the same thing but thier own version.

Alli,

Yes, I hope you can do a lot of those things! Be SURE to check out the pizza-I've heard it's the BEST in the world! (LOL- but then there's FRANKIE'S in Miami!!!)

OH, Yah- I knew that "F-CAT" was for Florida- but the other states have the testing too.

Call us-ok?

Love,

Ginga

Just catching up with you again (not that I'm back online).

Early birthday greetings to Alli. She shares a birthday with my husband and he always gets lost in the aftermath of Christmas.

Hope she does better.

Hugs

Ann

Hi Ann,

Thanks for the greetings- and to your husband, too!

Hope things are well at your place today! (OR as well as can be with illness in your family)

Thanks for catching up with me! :) Lol- that can be hard sometimes because I DO post a lot- and on 4 different blogspots!

Junie
