One More Day ~ Diamond Rio

~~~
One More Day
This is such a beautiful song I just wanted to share it here!
This is a subject that is close to me as I grow older... (OLD already)
I realize, more and more, that life is fleeting ~ we need to recognize this and say and do the important things while we can. Too often we fail to say, 'I love you' until it's too late. Too often we don't show our appreciation and encouragement to the ones who are closest to us! Too often we don't open our hearts and give more.
There's always a day coming that will be the last one for us - our last chance!
One More Day
Last night I had a crazy dream
A wish was granted just for me
It could be for anything
I didn't ask for money
Or a mansion in Malibu
I simply wished, for one more day with you
One more day
One more time
One more sunset, maybe I'd be satisfied
But then again
I know what it would do
Leave me wishing still, for one more day with you
First thing I'd do, is pray for time to crawl
Then I'd unplug the telephone
And keep the TV off
I'd hold you every second
Say a million I love yous
That's what I'd do, with one more day with you
One more day
One more time
One more sunset, maybe I'd be satisfied
But then again
I know what it would do
Leave me wishing still, for one more day with you
Leave me wishing still, for one more day
Leave me wishing still, for one more day
Beautiful song and beautiful poem, dear Junie. You're so right, too often we wait until it's too late...time is so fleeting and can be taken away from us in a blink of an eye!
I'm leaving tomorrow morning to go out of town for a wedding and will be back Sunday night. Hopefully I'll have a better week that will allow me to catch up with all my blogging friends:-) xoxo
I have their CD this song is on. Actually I bought the CD for the song!
I can remember sitting on a tunnel bridge looking over the James River in Virginia that leads to the Bay and my Hubs and I were watching a sunset while this played on the radio. After 9/11 you can't go out on it anymore; but it was a nice moment.
Junie, thank you so much for your lovely comment about my reflection photo. You made my day!
