Friday's Fences-Mar 22, 2012

~~~
~~
This fence and wildflower scene is from a different year and season here in north Florida...this was summer - not spring!
 I've always liked this pic so decided to share it today for my "Fence Post!"
This ride in the country that day, (on our motorcycle) the beauty and wonder of  it all, gave me the inspiration for this poem.
Enjoy!
Roadside Meadow Flowers
Nothing fills me, so,
 with joy that’s most complete,
than roadside, meadow flowers...
 whose names I do not know…
(No pampered garden blossom
 could ever be so sweet)
Their name’s of no importance…
just their golden glow!
Their beauty overwhelms.
 So abundantly they’re sown.
Each golden face turned upward
to catch the warming rays.
There is no grander sight –
 these eyes have ever known.
So to the ‘Master Gardener,’
 I give my love and praise!
FYI~about my header~
 FYI
~This was a comment I gave to Joy, one of my blog friends, about my heart-header.  I thought others might also be interested~
~~
To Joy:
"...and thanks for the comment on my header...What that is- if you haven't figured it out-is a reflection from a stained glass window in my stairwell. It's actually an oblong  piece that becomes heart shaped when it reaches the corner. The color is created with my imac picture program! I think it's pretty neat-looking!  :)"
 ~~
Here are some more views of the window and the reflections it makes on the wall.
This little doll sits in a big basket on my wide window ledge in my living room.
Today I noticed how the shadows of the blinds and lace curtains were making patterns on her face and thought it might make an interesting picture.
...Besides...you all know how I love to show off my dolls, so this is a good chance to introduce 'Hannah.'
Hannah is from the 'Best Friends' collection by doll artist Heidi Ott. This doll stands about 18" high and is dressed in a very well made, old fashioned dress and bonnet and with leather lace-up shoes.
This was not an expensive doll but I found this collection so sweet and charming I bought 'Hannah' and one other little girl for myself, several years ago.
( at TARGET- Just after Christmas when I could get a terrific bargain price!)
Yep-I'm a kid who never grew up! :)
~~~But just look at that face!~~~

I took this shot of a window of our little rental house sometime earlier this year- when we were doing some painting and sprucing up of the place.

The scene outside is of a giant Live Oak tree, draped with Spanish Moss!

I like the angle and the blackness - contrasted with the outside view!

Looks kind of fitting for the season, I think; especially with the Spanish Moss!

This is a wonderful song by our beloved , Dan Fogelberg
