On Saturday my husband and I were out for awhile.  We went to have breakfast and then just rode around our town for awhile.  

We eventually ended up at our town square.

 Each Saturday there is a Farmer's Market set up there. Flowers and crafts are on display, as well! The square is also the home to a few of the Art Horses that have been so popular in our town.

 (2 different Horse Fever projects!)

Below are more of the pictures I got around town, in Mellow Yellows and Ruby Reds~ and in no particular order.

Charles bought this little Yellow Orchid plant for me!

 I think the name of this one is

 "Dancing Lady!"

My birthday celebration and Drake's Homecoming

Today was a grand day! We celebrated my birthday (one day late) and our new grandson's homecoming- all in one!

Charles got me this pretty  cake!

..lots of presents...

Tina got home from her hiking/backpacking trip in the Smokey Mts. yesterday, and had lots to show and tell us today!

Little Drake was the main attraction today- as he most likely will be for awhile!

The 'big cousins' here  seemed quite taken with this baby!

I hope Zach, my grandson in Orlando, and  Aunt Didda, (aka-Tammy) my daughter,  will get to come up and meet Drake next week.

 (And also hope  his 2 uncles, Marc and Terry,  can visit soon)

 I have several  cabinets displaying my dolls and other treasures and memories!

This elephant bank was a gift I gave to my youngest daughter, Tina, on her 5th. birthday in 1969.

The coin is put in the elephant's trunk and by pushing a lever down, the trunk moves up and the coin goes in a slot at the top center of the bank.

I came across this little guy's pic in my files today...remembering I bought him in NY when we were there getting our girl enrolled in school-FIT-in '83.

This guy kept getting misplaced thru the years and I could never remember where I had put him, as I collect a LOT of dolls!

Named him  Jimmy Slip-Kid,(in recent yrs) as he seemed to always be slipping away from me! :)

I don't remember what these little dolls were called...does anyone know!

Visit with Tina

Tonight  we were invited to our daughter Tina's  house  for dinner. She also invited  Chris and Joy and of course,her son Daniel!  She served us a most delicious meal of Tilapia fish and a vegetable/squash dish and salad-with a  wonderful sour dough bread; ending  with apple crumb pie and coffee!  Everything was superb and it was a fun visit for all.

...And- I got to see 'Cooper!'  Here he is cuddling up to me!  haha- I bet my Alli will be jealous if she sees this!  ;)

I felt a little sad in not having those other 2 Fahey grandkids around.  They are both living in Orlando at this time...Alli is in college and Brian is working in Orlando and rooming with 3 other guys.

There were reminders of them at their mom's house, with mementoes of them both  all around. Some of Brian's art work hangs on Tina's walls-and in Tina's room I saw this adorable Halloween picture of our little girl at about age 3! The little girl scout doll I found on Ebay for a special Christmas gift for Alli when she was in  Girl Scouts all those years ago!

I also saw 'Miss Kitty,' the cat Alli so dearly loves!

(...and of course there's 'Cooper'- the little dog Alli adores!)

OK- ...Just made me sad...sentimental old gal that I am! I have trouble with changes, you all know that!

  LOL- If I could have had my way I would have kept them all little forever...and kept 'Ma-Ma' here with me too, to adore them right along with me!

...time moves on for all of us!
