I came upon this butterfly one day in my back yard... at the end of it's life cycle.

I got this picture recently of our cow,
 Cloud, with her new baby, born a few weeks
 ago. I named her Julie because she was born
 in July.

Camera Critters--Butterflies!

Of Butterflies

I venture out for photo shots
of butterflies.
 (sometimes, for hours.)
They, so, enchant, with their gossamer wings;
flitting there, among the flowers.

The colors range from soft to bold.
Some showy as a fine spring day!
Other’s beauty is understated,
still, frilly as a fine crochet.

Some are swift, not pausing long,
to sample blooms along the way.
Others linger, just hanging there;
as if their beauty’s on display.

I stand poised, in wonderment,
and reach to touch that softness there;
(The contact's slight, but oh, so real!)
and know the feel of angel hair!

This is Cooper ~ he lives with my daughter!

He's a cutie and a smart and funny little dog!

Recently he brought this dead and dried up frog inside for my daughter, Tina, to see.

From the looks of Cooper in this picture, Tina wasn't too happy with her gift!

OK-I am late with my CC post this time but  I have some cute pictures to share...so, better late than never!

These 2 little dogs  are Emma Rose (my poodle) and Cooper (my daughter's  Dachshund); with my 2 youngest grandchildren, Allison (all grown up) and baby Drake! (8 mo.)

I met this little guy on my back porch tonight! He surprised me by jumping onto the back of my hand! Yikes!! So cold!!

I quickly got him back on the screen and went for my camera!

I think he's very cute, don't you?
 So tiny...probably less than an inch long!!

Recently I moved some potted Poinsettias from my front porch to my side yard,  to plant them in the ground. 

Un-noticed, until I got ready to plant the last of 5 plants, was this little guy! He was snuggled down in the moist, cool, soil of the potted plant.

I don't know which of us was more surprised;  me or the frog!

I hoped he didn't mind too much,  my intrusion in his life.

Since our  grandson, Drake, came in May and especially since I am keeping him a few days every week, my little Emmy girl seems a little more demanding, at times, of my attention!

My granddaughter is home for the weekend and yesterday she and her mom were up at our house to visit.

Alli is  a girl who loves to wear hats! Yesterday she was wearing a new one with a pretty, summery, pink, flower printed band!

Looks way cool to me!

Here is Alli (and Tina in one pic) enjoying time with our newest member to the family- our Baby Drake! He was a sleepy boy the whole time, but no one minded... It's fun to cuddle a sleeping baby!
