Spring VICTORY Ride

*A BEAUTIFUL day for a Victory Ride!*
(says Junie)

It's a beautiful spring day here - so guess what we did!
Yep! We went for a long ride on the Victory!

First we went out for breakfast at a buffet style restaurant. Yummy! I had
a country breakfast, including GRITS! :)

( Someday soon I must make a firm commitment to cut out the splurging and get in better shape....soon - but not today!)

The day is perfect with the blue sky you see in the pictures and the new green leaves on the trees.

~~~My mom always loved this time of year when the trees were just getting their new, fresh green colors. I thought of her and how she would love this!~~~
We rode through the horse farm areas, as you can see in my photos.
The sign lists some of the farms in the area! Not all, perhaps just the bigger farms/ranches!
Charles says if we win the lottery we'll buy a horse farm out there somewhere!
~ Cool! I got my fingers crossed! ~ :)
Seriously, there is no other place we would rather live than here in Marion Co. Even our little farm, here, is very fine!
It was a wonderful ride!
Love,
JUNIE
Oh how I'd love to go on a Victory ride with you..look at the beautiful scenery you got to see!! I'm so tired of winter here but there's still so much snow and although today it's a bit milder, we're having snow flurries yet again. I think I'm moving to Florida! lol xox
Pea,
Come on down! ;)
But I must tell you our summers are too looong and hot! (LOL- I wish it could be about 70 year round!)
I know you're wishing for spring! Hope it happens soon.
Splurge away!
Good food is one of the great joys of life.
I'm glad you enjoyed a wonderful Victory ride!!!
I'm digging those big sunglasses.
Have you noticed lately that Hollywood celebs have been sporting big sunglasses like those?
My daughter recently bought a pair, and she looks FAB in them!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Hi Jamie Dawn,
Well, I love good food- but I don't wanna get to looking like a Blimpie Sub Roll...so I need to cut out some of the good stuff! :)
...About those big sunglasses... They are prescription & Bifocals and I have had them for several years...had them changed a couple times -or more! I picked them in the first place-and kept them- because my eyes are very light sensitive and I needed them big for more protection! Next mo. I'm having an eye exam- and-NEW GLASSES!
LOL- But I probably will pick BIG ones again- if I can find a pr.
Enjoy your weekend, JD
Sounded like a great ride and the photos were good as well. I lived in Lexington Kentucky for a while back in 1962-63 and they had tons of horse farms in that area. ec
ec, it was a good ride. I always enjoy the rides through the bif farm/ranch areas!
...I think our area (Ocala) is giving KY a 'run for the money' with the horses! (haha)
Isn't it always spring in florida? Looks like you had a great time... got some good pictures, and enjoyed the sunshine....you must be a harley mama.....LOL You couldn't get me to jump on a motorcycle.....but I have a friend that said she wanted to ride on a Harley before she dies....so on her 75th birthday, her daughter called the Harley club and ask if they would take her on a ride....so when they showed up, she got on the lead motorcycle and her daughter got on the second, each with a Harley guy....you know it made her day, she said there was a whole long line of harleys that followed behind......
Hi Judy,
Yes, we had a great time. Today is a beautiful day too!
We don't ride a Harley. What we have is a VICTORY- the OTHER American made motorcycle. (follow the links for other rides we've had)
...My husband was a motorcycle policeman in Miami, many years ago. He had owned motorcycles before, through the years, but I had never ridden with him at all. About 5 years ago We , again, got a motorcycle and I started riding with him! I loved riding from the first time on it! Surprisingly, I was never afraid at all!
I was just past 60 my first time riding- or 61 maybe.
About our Fl weather... This is the best time of the year! Summers are TOO HOT! I wish it could stay like this the whole year! :)
Thanks for visiting me!
Hi Junie,So you yourself dont ride a m'cycle, thats a shame, my wife had 5 up until about 8yrs ago when she began back troubles.At the moment she is debating getting another one,any way enjoy the pillion rides as long as you can,especially with scenery and weather like yours.
Hello BikerBob,
No-I don't ride a motorcycle , myself.
Indeed, didn't ride at all until past age 60! I was always afraid when I was younger, although my husband has ridden through the years; infact was a motorcycle policeman in Miami a long time ago.
I have considered riding my own but I probably couldn't handle it at this stage in my life. I will soon be 66 years old- lol- and am only 5 ft tall so it would be a real challenge to undertake something like this!
But I DO enjoy riding with my husband. It's the best!!
Junie
