Junie's Place: Spring

Spring

Spring has been a chopped up affair here this time! We've had it in bits and pieces instead of in an orderly, straight forward way ! We had our Azaleas bloom out , only to be bitten back in mid- bloom with a spell of cold.

The Wild Plum and Red Bud trees have come and are mostly over. The Dogwood trees are blooming now around the town. We have one at our place here, but with few blooms. It was planted in the shade of the Oak trees and needs full sun, I think, to have more blooms! There are many on our street for my viewing pleasure, however!

The Azaleas, tho interrupted with the cold, have come back with a smaller showing of blooms. Still, they are pleasing to the eye!

As Mreddie of Blueberrypatch often reminds us on his blog, "God is good!"

Yesterday we had the gutters installed on the house! I'm sure happy about that and in the next few weeks will be doing a lot of gardening. Can't wait to get things looking pretty around here again!

Our company, my bro and sister-in-law, left for home this morning. We enjoyed their visit very much and hope for a safe trip home for them. They live in north Alabama- about a 9 hour drive from here. We'll visit them in July or August of this year.

A poem of Spring here!

HAPPY SPRING!

Pretty blossoms. Our trees are in full bloom right now and the air has the smell of springtime.

You have beautiful things growing. It gives me hope that spring may find us here in the northwest, yet.

We're having a bit of a haphazard Spring here, too! Glad your azaleas managed to come back somewhat! :)

Hi Merle,

Thanks for visiting me.

It's a beautiful day here. I expect all our cold weather is over for this year!

Lol-I wish it could stay exactly the way it is-all year!
It's just perfect.

The redbuds are some of the most beautiful trees I've ever seen.

Hi Ann,

Yes, I love the RedBud trees- but the blooming period is so soon over!
