Junie's Place: Robin

Robin

The Robins are still hanging 'round my place!
This fellow didn't seem to mind posing for me, at all!
Doesn't he look so handsome in the dappled shade of the Oak tree?
I LOVE seeing these birds!

~~~
~~~ Robins always remind me of this poem by Emily Dickinson~~~

A Bird Came Down the Walk

A bird came down the Walk—
He did not know I saw—
He bit an angle-worm in halves
And ate the fellow, raw,

And then he drank a Dew
From a convenient Grass,
And then hopped sidewise to the Wall
To let a Beetle pass—

He glanced with rapid eyes
That hurried all about—
They looked like frightened Beads, I thought—
He stirred his velvet head

Like one in danger, cautious,
I offered him a crumb,
And he unrolled his feathers
And rowed him softer home—

Than oars divide the ocean,
Too silver for a seam—
Or Butterflies, off banks of noon,
Leap, plashless as they swim.

Emily Dickinson

When I see a Robin here I'll be dancing up a jig and hollering like a banshee...it will mean Spring is finally here! lol We won't see one, though, until probably April. For now, I'll enjoy your beautiful weather and birds:-) Loved that poem!! xox

Gidday Junierose,

Great picture of the robin, and when clicking on the picture it comes up so big that you are able to see all the details so clearly.

Wazza,

Thanks!

Yes, I like the way the enlargement shows the details of the Robin.

....BUT I'm NOT so happy with the huge pictures of ME! haha- Can't figure how to adjust things so I don't get those BIG pics!
