Today's Flowers-Dec 10, 2011

I simply call it the
"Christmas Flower!"
These beautiful flowers have always been an essential addition to my Christmas decorating!
Every year we buy a few in pots, for the house, and after the holidays, plant them at our place here in Ocala, Fl.
The climate is not ideal but we manage to have a few grow and bloom each time. This one that I am posing by is planted in our front entrance garden.
This seems to be a good location, as it's an enclosed courtyard. The plants are better protected here, and I can take care of them better with remembering to water and clip and feed!
They are worth the effort!

A great plant for the festive season!
They're lovely, great that you are able to actually plant them in your garden.
I so envy you that you can plant them and have them grow. I have tried the in the dark closet thing and a couple of other things but they just die up here!
