THE BEST BLONDE JOKE OF THE YEAR - SO FAR
A man was in his front yard mowing grass when his attractive blonde female neighbor came out of the house and went straight to the mailbox.
She opened it then slammed it shut and stormed back in the house.
A little later she came out of her house again went to the mail box and again, opened it, slammed it shut again. Angrily, back into the house she went.
As the man was getting ready to edge the lawn, here she came out again, marched to the mail box, opened it and then slammed it closed harder than ever .
Puzzled by her actions the man asked her, "Is something wrong?"
To which she replied, "There certainly is!"
(Are you ready? This is a beauty...)
"My stupid computer keeps saying, "YOU'VE GOT MAIL!"

Funny one for you
Here's a little joke I just got from a niece in an Email.
...It made me smile...How about you?
PREGNANT AT 71
A woman went to the doctor's office where she was seen by one of the younger doctors. After about four minutes in the examination room, she burst out screaming as she ran down the hall.
An older doctor stopped her and asked what the problem was, and she told him her story.
After listening, he had her sit down and relax in another room. The older doctor marched down
the hallway back to where the young doctor was writing on his clipboard.
"What's the matter with you?" the older doctor demanded. "Mrs. Terry is 71 years old, has four grown children and seven grandchildren, and you told her she was pregnant?"
The younger doctor continued writing and without looking up said,
"Does she still have the hiccups?"
:)
Enjoy your day!

More of our adventures...
The trip over from home was a lot of lighthearted fun and banter for Charles and me. We don't get away nearly as often as we should...even for a day or two! (Always some project or another going on at our place!)
:) Charles always indulges me with my whims in photo taking...
...as I do him with his passion for stopping to look at junk along the way...or pick up things... in the road! He's found some great tools that way and once found a heavy gold bracelet!
Oh! And what's this up ahead? ...... Something we BOTH wanted to stop and get a better look at...this pasture of cows/bulls with these gigantic horns!!
Charles mentioned that he thought they were called 'Watusi Longhorns.' I had no idea...had never seen any of them before...but I find in my searches that he was right! Read about them here!
I decided on this trip to 'live dangerously,' and, so, totally disregarded that warning sign posted!
I'm sure I was within '9 Feet' of that fence in getting my pictures! ;)
I sure hope my husband doesn't decide he's just got to have some of these scary things! I can just imagine these beasts getting out and roaming the neighborhood...as has happened in the past with our cows!
(surely not, C.! )
~~~
After our arrival at the motel we were talking of what we'd like to do and see while there. We knew we wouldn't do everything this time...but I asked C. if we would go to the 'Fountain of Youth!'
He said, "No...If you drink too much of that water I will be accused of having a young girl in this motel with me!"
Ha! Says Junie Rose," Honey, you're in danger of that already!" ;)
Yep- we be silly old folks! :)
More later!
Love,
Junie
On Our Way Home ~ (our trip and Beatles music)
K- to continue our trip home on this past Monday...
~~~
But first...
Dang it all - I didn't make the front page of Ocala Star Banner - in spite of my best efforts with the tea bags! ;)
Oh, well! It was a good Tea Party and well worth our time and effort! These protests have been a huge success all over the country!
~~~
On Monday we awoke to a rainy, gloomy, day for our long ride home. It rained at least half the way but we finally ran out of it. We had a good time, tho, and after awhile were able to have a couple of fun stops along the way.
~~
Several years ago we were on a trip back from Alabama. This was one of the times our grand kids-and daughter went with us.
We stopped at this park somewhere near Perry and the kids had a lot of fun climbing on this BLUE ROCK!
LOL- Someone thought they would be improving on nature by painting this huge rock a bright blue! Well... OK- It's a novelty, I have to admit! It enticed us to stop again...or was it the memories of our little 'grands'
having so much fun there?? Maybe a combination of the two things is what did it! Whatever...here we are!
~~~
We can't pass over the Suwanee River without stopping for awhile and this time was no exception.
It's so beautiful and peaceful by the banks of that old river.
This is a maintained park area where we are able to walk out on a floating dock and take a look up and down the river!
Charles made the corny crack as we walked out on the floating and swaying dock..."Don't worry if your head swims..if you fall in then you won't drown!" :) haha! Very Funny!!
...We made it home to our little corner- before night fall...It's always good to get back home!
Love,
Junie

Yes! We're home!
Yes~ we're home and what a fun trip it was! :)
LOL ~ Well, some of you might think that it takes very little to make this lady happy! Maybe you'd be right, too, in thinking that... but to be honest, I'm so happy I can find such joy in the ordinary things we encounter in our life.
For instance...
the big thrill for me on the way to Milton was photographing ~ wildflowers ~ water towers in the small towns and rusty farm implements/junk in a junk yard!
Charles was very patient with me in my quest to capture the towers (we got several on this trip) and also in stopping along roadsides to get close -ups of wildflowers! We also saw this beautiful flowering bush-not realizing at first that it was the familiar 'Red Top' bush that we know! We had never seen it in bloom, but only as a trimmed hedge plant! The blooms are really pretty!
LOL- Several times on this trip we made U-turns to backtrack to get a better look at some thing or another! Here are a few of the flowers and towers and other things we saw along the way!
... AND ~ the junk yard we stopped at! :)
Yes! I love looking at this old stuff and taking pictures! ... Charles can identify anything in there but I sure can't! :) I just love the shapes of things and the old rust colors, with touches of faded reds and greens, here and there!
The fellow working there-the owner of all this cool stuff, I presume - seemed real happy to have folks to talk to and to show off his 'treasures' to! ( We may have been his only customers of the day~ or week, even!)
Somehow Charles' age came into the conversation...and the guy couldn't believe C. when he told him he is 74! The man said, "But you married a much younger woman, I see!" HAHA- ...OK- instead of letting the guy think he had a-40 something...or even-50 something wifey... (hahaha) Charles said, "Yes, she's 6 years younger than me!"
What!!! :)
Man! I like that distorted view of reality these north west Florida men have! haha
~I was busy looking at his junk so didn't know of these exchanges until later~
if I HAD known I might have been tempted to give him a Sarah Palan wink in gratitude! haha!~ (just kidding!!!!)
Oh!
What cool junk he had!! :)
(more pics will be posted for Shadow Sunday)
Tomorrow- more of our trip!
Love,
Junie

Fun at Christmas
I got this from my son-in-law, Terry, in an email tonight! I liked it so thought I'd share it with my blog buddies!
(Thanks, Terry)
This is Terry and my daughter, Tammy. ( not sure when this was)
Follow these tips because Christmas only comes once a year.
HOLIDAY EATING TIPS
1.
Avoid carrot sticks. Anone who puts carrots on a holiday buffet table knows nothing of the Christmas sprit. In fact, if you see carrots, leave immediately. Go next door, where they'ere serving rum balls.
2.
Drink as much eggnog as you can. And quickly. It's rare.. You cannot find it any other time of year but now. So drink up! Who cares that it has 10,000 calories in every sip? It's not as if you're going to turn into an eggnog-alcoholic or something. It's a treat. Enjoy it. Have one for me. Have two. It's later than you think. It's Christmas!
3.
if something comes with gravy, use it. That's the whole point of gravy. Gravy does not stand alone. Pour it on. Make a volcano out of your mashed potatoes. Fill it with gravy. Eat the volcano. Repeat.
4.
as for mashed potatoes, always ask if they're made with skim milk or whole milk. If it's skim, pass. Why bother? It's like buying a sports car with an automatic transmission.
5.
Do not have a snack before going to a party in an effort to control your eating. The whole point of going to a Christmas party is to eat other people's food for free. Lots of it. Hello?
6.
Under no circumstances should you exercise between now and New Year's. You can do that in January when you have nothing else to do. This is the time for long naps, which you'll need after circling the buffet table while carrying a 10-pound plate of food and that vat of eggnog.
7.
If you come across something really good at a buffet table, like frosted Christmas cookies in the shape and size of Santa, position yourself near them and don't budge. Have as many as you can before becoming the center of attention. They're like a beautiful pair of shoes. If you leave them behind, you're never going to see them again.
8.
Same for pies. Apple, Pumpkin, Mincemeat. Have a slice of each. Or if you don't like mincemeat, have two apples and one pumpkin. Always have three. When else do you get to have more then one dessert? Labor Day?
9.
Did someone mention fruitcake? Granted, it's loaded with the mandatory celebratory calories, but avoid it at all cost. I mean, have some standards.
10.
One final tip: If you don't feel terrible when you leave the party or get up from the table, you haven't been paying attention. Re-read tips; start over, but hurry, January is just around the corner.
Remember this motto to live by:
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, a glass of red wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"
Sounds good to me! ;)

SMILE! Mirror, Mirror ... and 'The Who'
Here's a little something to make you smile!
Got this from a niece ( Connie) in an email today and I thought it was very cute and funny!
******

(Pictures from Wikipedia)
Shrek, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were all having lunch together.
Shrek said, 'I have always thought that I'm the strongest man in the world, but how can I be sure?'
Angelina Jolie agreed. 'I'm told I'm the most gorgeous of them all, but sometimes I wonder.'
Brad Pitt said, 'I'm pretty sure I'm the sexiest man alive but I've never had it confirmed.'
They all decided that the best way to find out if their beliefs were true was to ask the famed talking 'mirror, mirror on the wall' to confirm for them whether Shrek was the strongest, Angelina Jolie was the most gorgeous and Brad Pitt was the sexiest.
They agreed to meet again the next day for lunch to discuss their findings.
The next day Shrek walked up with a smile. 'Well, true. The mirror told me that I am the strongest man in the world.'
Brad Pitt perked up and said: 'And I know for sure that I'm the sexiest man alive.'
But Angelina Jolie lifted her sad, gorgeous face and said.. ................................
" Who the heck is JUNIE ROSE ?"

Scary Joke!
I hope it will bring some smiles to a few faces!~~
~~~
Halloween is coming!
A man is walking home alone late one foggy night...
when behind him he hears:
Bump...
BUMP...
BUMP...
Walking faster, he looks back and through the fog he makes out the image of an upright casket banging its way down the middle of the street toward him.
BUMP...
BUMP...
BUMP...
Terrified, the man begins to run toward his home, the casket bouncing quickly behind him
FASTER...
FASTER...
BUMP...
BUMP...
BUMP...
He runs up to his door, fumbles with his keys, opens the door, rushes in, slams and locks the door behind him.
However, the casket crashes through his door, with the lid of the casket clapping
clappity-BUMP...
on his heels, the terrified man runs.
Rushing upstairs to the bathroom, the man locks himself in. His heart is pounding; his head is reeling; his breath is coming in sobbing gasps.
With a loud CRASH the casket breaks down the door.
Bumping and clapping toward him.
The man screams and reaches for something, anything, but all he can find is a bottle of cough syrup!
Desperate, he throws the cough syrup at the casket...
and,
( hopefully you're ready for this!!! )
The 'coffin' stops .
( SMILE! ;) )
Joke...or maybe NOT!
Got this in an Email today!
SMILE!! ;)
Garfield on the oil crisis
A lot of folks can't understand how we came to have an oil
shortage here in our country.
Well, there's a very simple answer.
Nobody bothered to check the oil.
We just didn't know we were getting low.
The reason for that is purely geographical.
Our OIL is located in :
ALASKA
California
Coastal Florida
Coastal Louisiana
Wyoming
Colorado
Kansas
Oklahoma
Pennsylvania
and
Texas
~~~
Our dipsticks are located in DC
~~~
Any Questions?
NO?...Didn't think So.
Sky Watch Friday & a Joke (Ski)
It's Sky Watch Friday again!
(go here for other sky pictures around the world)
Here are some sky scenes from North Carolina in 2006!
The famous Olympic skier Picabo Street
(pronounced Peek-A-Boo)
is not just an athlete.
She is now a nurse currently working at the Intensive Care Unit
of a large metropolitan hospital.
She is not permitted to answer the hospital telephones.
It causes too much confusion
when she answers the phone and says . . . . Picabo, ICU.
SMILE!
This is a joke I got from a niece today!
LITTLE OLD LADY~
There was a little old lady, who every morning stepped onto her front porch, raised her arms to the sky, and shouted: 'PRAISE THE LORD!'
One day an atheist moved into the house next door.
H e became irritated at the little old lady.
Every morning he'd step onto his front porch after her and yell: 'THERE IS NO LORD!'
Time passed with the two of them carrying on this way every day.
One morning, in the middle of winter, the little old lady stepped onto her front porch and shouted: 'PRAISE THE LORD! Please Lord, I have no food and I am starving, provide for me, oh Lord!
The next morning she stepped out onto her porch and there were two huge bags of groceries sitting there.
'PRAISE THE LORD!' she cried out.. 'HE HAS PROVIDED GROCERIES FOR ME!'
The atheist neighbor jumped out of the hedges and shouted:
'THERE IS NO LORD; I BOUGHT THOSE GROCERIES!!'
The little old lady threw her arms into the air and shouted: 'PRAISE THE LORD!
HE HAS PROVIDED ME WITH GROCERIES AND MADE THE DEVIL PAY FOR THEM!'
SMILE AND PASS THIS ON.
