Happy Father's Day

'Happy Father's Day '
to all dads out there!

~~~
We had our family celebration last week with all the kids and grand kids so there will not be much going on here today.
We did this last night- my treat to Charles for Father's Day! We went with my sister and BIL and met for dinner first...a good dinner at Applebee's.
I tried for some pictures but didn't get , not even one, that was half-way good!
LOL! Those cowboys didn't stay on those bulls more than a few seconds! Out of at least 30 - only 4 lasted 8 seconds! "As bull riders go, these cowboys were not much!" says Charles! We all left at the half time intermission!
Needless to say- we were all a little disappointed - and at $20.00, the event was way overpriced - we thought!
I hate it, that I got no pictures of the action- such as it was!
Sooo... (however bad!)
here is a shot of some cowboys before the riding started...and one of a rider on a big mean bull- about to hit the dust!
~~~

To conclude... I think, maybe, 'Bull Riding' is not our thing!

I can't imagine that a few seconds longer on the bulls could have added that much more excitement! ;)

~~~
Maybe a Victory ride would perk us up! Or maybe we'll just spend the day relaxing!
Hope you all have a good day!
Junie
It does take a certain mentality to ride bulls - or maybe that should read the lack of a brain. :) ec
We went to the National Finals in Vegas a few years back. The top 15 bull riders in the world rode the top 15 bulls in the world. The Bulls won. 14 to 1. It's the one part of rodeo where the animals really have the upper hand. Those bulls are amazing athletes. These bulls sell at bucking stock auctions and some go for over $30,000.
Hi Cliff,
LOL- I guess the bulls usually win!
There were a few tense moments in the show we saw- when the bull took after some of the cowboy workers! I was just glad not to have witnessed someone getting hurt!
Not really my 'cup of tea' this bull riding!
