In my garden today

Today I was drawn to the garden and ended up doing some little tasks that I had not planned to do! (I am very impulsive in these things and most all things!)

I intended just to look and enjoy the flowers- maybe snip some faded blooms from the roses...but then I remembered I wanted to lay these few rocks for a small walkway into the back part of the rose garden! Then I planted the 4 small Caladiums I had planned for this area.

I just enjoy my garden and want everything to look pretty!

This is a very beautiful rose which I don't believe I've posted here - or at least I haven't identified it!
It is the ' Cary Grant 'rose. (Orange)

The pink rose is 'The McCartney.'

~~~
Look at that! No wonder the birds haven't used that house!!
Those lizards are taking over!
Hi June ~~ Your roses are lovely as
always. Do you have any aphids? remember the tip of banana skins to
get rid of them. Loved the art horse you posted. Thanks for your visit and commenting. Take care,Love, Merle.
Hi Merle,
Thanks again for looking at my roses. So far I haven't seen any aphids but will try and remember the banana peels if I do!
The Art Horses are always a thrill for me when we happen upon them. This is one I had never seen so I just had to stop and get a picture of it!
I found some old photos I had taken when they were on display ( in the beginning , before they were all sold) so I may be posting some more of them.
Take care, Merle.
Love,
June
Hi Anni,
Yah- the Cary Grant is a very beautiful rose- big and full !
The McCartney is a great rose to grow- very hardy. It's like a shrub rose, but with very nice big flowers- tho not as full petaled as some! Has a lot of blooms, usually in clusters of 3! You might want to check this rose out if yer thinking of adding any. It's the best new rose I've planted recently.
The weather is awful ...sooo hot- mid 90s every day but I just gotta keep up with my gardening chores this time- if I can! I enjoy the flowers sooo much- especially the roses!
Hi Pea,
No lizards! Wow- that seems strange, as we have them all over the place...so many I fear I might step on one each time I go outside. Also- have had encounters of them inside!
( check out critters label if interested in that story)
Ahh-yah- The Cary Grant is a great rose! You might be able to find one somewhere online!
