That's one of my favorite poems. We had to memorize it in grade school, and it's still with me.

Merle said to come wish you a Happy Birthday! I hope it was special in every way.
Your Poem, "Tree's" made me smile as I remembered way back in the early fifties, my folks had a bought a new blonde mahogany radio/phonograaph. We didn't have TV yet so this was a very special delight. They bought lots of records too and when I began to have boyfriends, one in particular just loved the Son's Of The Pioneer's A singing group)singing 'Tree's'. He played it over and over until I thought mother would pull her hair out by the roots!
It's funny now but at the time I was a pretty nervous young lady. You see, my Scotch/Iris mama had red hair and a wild temperment!

That poem just came to me after looking at some trees I had photographed recently!
