Ruby Tuesday ~ July 29, 2008

It's Ruby Tuesday time!

This is my Ruby Tuesday post for this week!

This is a small corn crib (the rent crib) that still stands on the old home place where my husband lived in his youth! This crib was used to store the 1/3 of the corn crop, which went to the landlord for rent of the farm.

This is in Limestone Co, Alabama in the farming area known as Mud Bottom, near the banks of Elk River.

I'm off for a few days! See you all about next Sunday, if all goes as planned! :)

This is an "Off Topic Comment" but...I seem to have lost my knack for posting/commenting in 'Blog Land,' for a while. All I do lately, is put up a few photos, here and there. I didn't plan on it... It just happened.

And since I don't want anyone to think I got *uppity* or anything, :-) I'm leaving this comment, to explain my absence.

I'm sure to be back in not too long. Can't keep a "Chatty Person" quiet, for too long. :-)

Nice photo of old stuff. Rent crib is a term we don't have here. Good idea tho. Have a good trip and a good time. I liked the pic of the new calves.
I looks like C should go into the flooring business. Good job.

That is a wonderful choice for Ruby Tuesday.
I hope you enjoy being away. I am going away too, also, as well. I've not been able to put time into blogging lately, and I've missed checking in on everyone. I plan to get back to posting twice and week and visiting blog buddies twice a week when I get back.
I hope you and Charles are enjoying the summer and taking rides on your cool motorcycle.
:-)

I love the way you did this picture! Haven't heard anyone mention a corn crib in years. Maybe only Alabama folks know about such. lol! Hope you enjoy your trip.

If my parents saw this picture, they'd try and convince me it's where they went to school.

Enjoy your time off. I was MIA for two weeks and loved it.
