I'm sorry I didn't get a lot of Christmas greeting cards sent out this year...not that I don't love you all and wish you the best! It's just that I was unable to do all that I wished I could this time.
(I'm getting old and slow-and that's the truth!)

Here are some Santas in red around my house!

I collect Santa figures of all types. Some of these are handmade by me-some are vintage and some are from recent years! They are all equally charming to me!

FRUSTRATED as all Get Out!!!

Been trying to change my blog header to a Christmas one...and can't get rid of part of a code... (">)...I'll never understand all this computer stuff...and it's truly amazing that I'm able to figure out as much as I do!! (I hate computers!! hahaha) This is the header I put up there-but with an annoying little blemish on the left side of my picture!

This is a gourd santa I made. It's made with wood burning tools (the face, beard, etc) then painted and finished with a spray varnish sealer. It's not an ornament  but a free standing figure about 14 inches tall.

The Micanopay fall festival was held on Saturday and Sunday last week. We -My daughter and granddaughter, Charles and I, and 'Cooper, the pup'- went on Sunday-Halloween day.

Coop was very cute dressed in his Halloween themed sweater and he certainly got lots of attention. There were lots of dogs taking the festival in that day...but none cuter than our Cooper.

(well...maybe that little fluffy , white poodle I saw... LOL...don't tell Coop I said that...)

Just kidding, seriously - Cooper is the cutest pup I know!!

The girls had teased the hair on his head into a Mohawk hair style!  :)

These pics were taken as we were about to leave our house for the festival.

The weather was very nice last weekend and we all enjoyed the outing! Cooper had a lot of fun  but had to shed his sweater after awhile.

Well, there are a lot of 'Ruby-Reds' around this time of year- right?
I find that so at my house, for sure...being the big santa fan that I am!

This is a little fake tree that I like to decorate as an extra tree , with some of my homemade craft ornaments! You will see some miniature gourd ornaments-and some papier mache ornaments on the tree.

The first two hanging gourd santas are bigger. I have them hanging at opposite windows by my fire place.

Each year when I do my decorating for Christmas I promise myself that THIS new year I will get back to my crafts...because I truly enjoyed making these Santas and other Christmas things! Maybe this time I will!!

Sepia Scenes-Dec 2, 2009- St. Nick

This is one of my Paper Mache Santas that I was creating a few years ago! The date on this one is 1993-and #7...which means this was the 7th. one of this kind of craft santas that I had made.

I think he's quite elegant -if a bit subdued- in his fine creamy white and gold robe!

I got my inspiration for this one from a picture of an antique Russian St. Nick ornament which I found in magazine.

I only made a few of this kind. My Santas, though, were not ornament size but stood 12-14 inches tall. They were all original paper mache-no molds or patterns - so each one was unique.

:) There's not much difference in the natural color and the sepia!
