Hit by a bug!

**********

I have been hit by some kinda bug- and feel AWFUL!
I had one of those nights when you are not sure if you're asleep or awake-with the weirdest dreams you can imagine. ..and being awakened, when you
do manage to fall asleep for real, with a fit of coughing! I'm Archy all over-and alternate between being too hot and chills! Also have a terrible headache and feel queasy in the tummy!...In other words -feel like pure heck- if not pure hell!

OK- This is nothing terribly out of the ordinary. We all go through these things and usually manage to live to see a better day! It's just that...it came so suddenly and at the very worse time for me!

Reason #1

Several weeks back my girls (Tina and Alli) invited me to plan to go with them to an event here in our town. It's called 'Kidfetti'~ It's for a charitable cause!
Read about it here!
Some ' up- and- coming' young stars are going to be there ~ including my granddaughter's favorite-the young singer/musician, Teddy Geiger!

Others:

Drake Bell
(Nickelodeon Star-headlines)

Paula DeAnda
(Recording star of MTV)

Hunter Hayes
( amazing 16 year old ~ Cajun~music prodigy-mixing country and pop)

This kid started performing when he was this size!

Alli wanted me to go so I could see Teddy Geiger. She and her mom have seen him a lot of times and have met him and got photos with him!

We made plans and bought tickets in advance-VIP tickets to all the shows- so that we'd be assured of having close-up seats!
It's a several hours of planned events and shows...like a country fair, I think. NOT just going to this one show and then leaving!
The way I'm feeling I'm thinking I will have to forget my plans and kiss that $40.00 ticket goodbye! :(
I need to decide soon, I guess, so that maybe they can get someone else to use my ticket!

I was looking forward to a fun day out with my girls! :(

My #2 reason for not liking this particular time to have gotten this bug ... :) ...Not that I think it would be that much FUN anytime......But.....

we are expecting company early next week! My sister and her husband are planning to come from NC. I hope I'm over this by then. I certainly don't want anyone else to get sick!

~~~~~~~
Whatever will be will be!
Odd, I saw this on Google reader before I could access it on your site. I know about those weird dreams, not that I've experienced them often -- tg. This may may quickly. Let's hope.
Oh dear, I'm so sorry to hear that you're feeling so poorly...as you said, it always seems to come at the worse possible time. If only we could pick and choose when to be sick! lol I woke up around 7 feeling so lightheaded this morning but after I went back to sleep for another hour, I felt fine! Strange happenings!!! I do hope you feel much better real soon...so sad for you that you have to miss out this special planned day with your girls:-( xox
Oh, Junie, I really hope it's not the not-quite-cold, not-quite-flu that EVERYbody seems to have at the moment! We've all had it here, and so has everyone else we know. It sounds just like what you have... and it is NASTY and goes on for at least a week, so I really, really, REALLY hope that's not what you've got!!
Which day were you supposed to go with Tina and Alli? The aches usually only last a day or two, but the cough and exhaustion go on forever. However, there are periods of time where you can still do things... but only in small bursts! So I'm not sure if you'd survive that whole day of going to shows.
Well, at least maybe when your sister comes from NC, she can take care of you! Just don't breathe on her! ;)
Hi Junie,
Goodness, there's so much flu in blogland (and so many different types)
I hope yours is just the 24 hour variety and you feel well enough to do things you've been looking forward to.
The flu seems to be going around up here too. I had seen that Hunter Hayes video before but I didn't realize that he was 16 now. Hope you are better soon and able to enjoy your time with family. ec
I just read that they are actually changing the FLU shot cocktail for the first time in many years. New strains are robust and they will continue to mix in 3 older strains to keep us protected. They create these vaccines in millions of chicken eggs and it takes some time to do so.
Dear June ~~ I am so sorry you feel so terrible and hope that it will not last too long. Shame to miss the day with Tina and Alli, but you need rest to heal. Hope you are OK when your sister arrives. I hope Charles is
taking good care of you.
Thanks for comments June. Get well soon. Much love, Merle.
You caught that bug from me. I hate being sick too.
Marilyn and I got a kick out of that second video.
I hope you were able to go to the show.
That little Hunter Hayes is remarkable! What an amazing talent for such a young feller!!
I hope you were able to go with Tina and Alli. I'm sure you were disappointed if you didn't get to go.
I hope by now you are feeling better. The flu is such a strange thing. Sometimes it's over and done with in 24 hours, and sometimes you feel like hammered crap for a whole week.
Have fun visiting with your family from NC. If you are still feeling under the weather, just let THEM do all the work. They won't mind.
:-)
Almost everyone I know is sick Junie. It's everywhere! It was too late for Kidfetti, but now your job is to get better before your company comes. So take care of yourself....rest as much as you can....and don't be a bad patient. Feel better fast sweetie....
Poor, poor Junie...I just got over this and so did my husband. It doesn't last long, just two or three days if you're lucky.
Hope you made it to the shows.
Junie, I do hope you're feeling much better by now, and that you recovered in time to go with the girls to the charitable event.
It sounds like a really miserable bug!! Take it easy now and get yourself better!
I'm just going to click that button and listen to Gordon Lightfoot now. Love the words to that song :)
