I just got this in an email from my sweet Alli girl!

"Hey Ginga- I got my badge for work today, and I just wanted to show you I
start orientation on Monday!"

...and here is my only girl grand baby, Alli, with her big brothers, Dan and Brian! This was her first Christmas. She would have her 1st birthday the day after Christmas.

 (and now she's almost 22!!)

:) I wanted to name our almost Christmas babe, "Merry Noel," but Tina didn't go along with that! lol...

 

 Alli has said she's glad her mom didn't let me name her that- Haha... She likes her name Allison Brooke better! ;)

(...but she's known, far and wide, as just "Alli!")

Our  Thanksgiving Day was very special for all of us. We had everyone home except for my 2 sons-in Law, Marc and Terry. We missed them a lot!

My granddaughter, Alli, was home for a couple days. She and her mom were working on her costume for a Halloween/masquerade-party/dance at college.

She's very much into Swing Dancing and the ones in charge of the dances sponsor this event

each year for Halloween. The theme this year is "Alice In Wonderland," and the guests were asked to dress as characters from that Tale! Alli chose "The Mad Hatter" as the character she would be.
(partly because she's such a HAT person, anyway!!) :)

Alli and her mom did a great job creating this costume-IMHO- especially as they did most of it while they were babysitting Drakey for Chris, Joy and I to go to that concert Wednesday night!

My Alli is so cool!!

First-our youngest grandson, Drake, who is just 4 months old today!

Ruby Tuesday 2 ! Aug 28, 2012

On this "Ruby Tuesday 2" day I had a nice outing with my daughter, Tina.

She had bought a couple items at an antique shop and so I went with her to help her unload and set them up at her house.

What she had bought were a small dining table and a wine rack...but they are not RED so I won't show them for this post  ... :)

I did, however, see some neat Ruby Reds at Tina's house...

This rooster sits on top of the wine rack Tina bought! He's so colorful and cheery ~ he makes me smile!!

Her Kitchen clock is quite whimsical also!

My girls, Tina and Alli,

(my daughter and granddaughter)

 always seem to look for the whimsical side of life and, most times, DO find it!!

 :)

These pictures reflect the fun way they look at life.

This is a T-shirt that Tina bought on a recent trip to California, with her daughter, Alli!

 Needless to say, Tina has embarked on a physical fitness program and they continued with that on the trip. They rented bikes one day and toured the city of San Francisco, including riding across the Golden Gate Bridge, a total of about 15 miles.  Tina, also recently, was on a 50 mile back packing hike in the Great Smokey Mountains, over a five day period!

And last week she bought a new bike and is riding  it to work (a 20 minute ride each way) She's an RN !!  :)

I like this T-shirt but I wouldn't want to get THAT thin!!  :)

Alli, too, plans to be a nurse and will graduate next May.

This is Alli's 'Rib Cage' necklace that she recently bought. :) 

Those girls just wanna have fun!!
