Ruby Tuesday~ Feb 22, 2010 ~Refreshed Rose

This is one of my all-time favorite rose pictures.
I've missed my roses the past few months
so I was happy to come across this shot again in my files.

OK-You might argue that it's more a
pink than red...
but I'm gonna try and pass it off as Ruby Red! :)

You can't deny it's pretty! :)

I love to see roses with the rain drops on them!

Life and Times of Junie Rose

Oh my goodness-what a time I have had !

I FINALLY - just this minute - got back here to be able to post!

Now that I'm here I don't know what the heck to, even, post!

~~~
Picked the computer up yesterday-after almost 3 weeks in 2 different Apple shops!
K... you can imagine I would be all excited about 'Getting Back'- right?
...And I had a whole lot of pictures to upload and go through- and a lot of emails and blog comments to read and respond to...lots of catching up to do on the forums. I set to work straight away on doing my things!
Within the first hour my computer shut down!!
As you probably recall, THAT was the problem that sent the thing to the shop 3 weeks ago! We had been told the problem was fixed- that some cable had been replaced and that they had had similar problems with this model computer. The problem seemed to have been pinpointed and solved!
I wasn't expecting a problem!!
Well...after a call back to inform them of the continued problem...I continued to work on my stuff (just as if things are cool and fine!) but it shut down another few times before I quit - late last night! You see- the problem I have is that it shuts down but comes back on almost immediately ...so I just continued on with what I needed to do. (just took a lot longer!)
Last night, too, I was unable to access my blog dashboard to make a post. I tried several times to reset my password but was unsuccessful until just awhile ago! LOL- SOOO...here I am!
My gosh... I get the feeling
something is telling me to give it all up!!
But I'm not gonna!
~~~

OK - NOW - PLEASE no cracks about how great 'MACS' are supposed to be! :)

Sept 19, 2008

OK Here we 3 are - all these years later... :)

Chris had made plans to have dinner out with his cousin and best friend (one of them, at least) so we didn't do anything for his birthday today, except give him his gifts!

Good thing, too, as I am still not feeling well and didn't feel like doing much. This cold and cough is really hanging on with me! I'm still not sleeping well.
LOL- it sure shows in that picture...(that I'm not feeling well) but you know me - I always want to document our lives when I can!

Here is what we gave him! It's a George Foreman Grill...and the little gator is a lamp - very cute!! :) Also gave him $$ for a couple meals out or a few gallons of gas! :)

We're, tentatively, planning to have some, or all, of the other family here on Sunday for a cook-out celebration for Chris! :) Hope so!

Sarah Palin will be speaking on Sunday about 25 miles from us. Although I would love to attend that, I don't feel up to making the effort.
( since I've been sick all this week!
)

~~~
Gonna try for some sleep soon, but first, will leave you with some pretty flowers from my back yard today!
Yes! I DID get out for a little while with my camera!
Have a good night!
procrastinating...
( Click to enlarge )
Looking through my pictures today I came across this rose. Oh my goodness ~ I love the way roses look after a rain!
OK~ this is an imperfect photo, but, by no means, an imperfect rose!
I decided to use this for my desktop picture for awhile! It renews my spirit just looking at it! :)
~~~

Speaking of rain...(well, I was... sort of ...) this little guy was born during a bad thunder storm a couple days ago! I named him 'Stormy.' :)

( Junie is sooo creative...haha)

There has been at least one calf by that name before, on this little farm! Oh, well!

Anyway, at the end of the day yesterday, I went down with Charles to see this little calf for the first time! He looks ok. I hope he's healthy. We have lost a couple recently... birth defects! Sad!...also expensive!

Here are
Stormy and Pippie Long Stockings!

I got a picture of the floor Charles is doing in our little house. This is the small hallway between the 2 bedrooms! He just did the small area first to see how it would look! I like it!!

Ok this little house is very old...probably over 60 years old...so I don't expect it to look perfect! It's just a little rough and simple country house. ;0 But, hey ~ I LIKE the way it looks!

Charles is doing the rest of the floor today. We'll try to finish up on the house after our return next week!

(My son is looking forward to having his own place again! I think he'll like this little house!)

What I should be doing is getting my stuff organized for the trip, instead of yapping here. Gee! I'm gonna miss this blogging in the next week! LOL~ but I can do it!!

For now, I must go and do some stuff!

Later,

A beautiful day~3~9~08

Today was a beautiful day here in North Florida and Charles and I took advantage of the wonderful weather to get out for awhile.

No- we didn't ride the Victory ... (can't haul much on a motorcycle.)

We went to the Master Gardeners' Spring Festival - the annual plant show/sale they have here one weekend every early spring.

We went to this last year and I saw a plant I really loved but didn't buy. I thought I'd be able to find one later somewhere but I was not successful! I especially wanted to look for one of these this time!

It's the 'New Zealand Tea Rose - shrub. It has dainty rose-like blooms...(but isn't a rose) We bought 2 of these plants...One is pink and the other a dark red! It's very pretty! I had never seen this plant before last spring-and just fell in love with it! Really- it's a lovely plant!

( Now-won't the Gnome Lady be proud of me!!) :)

This pic is not the greatest- but it's all I have at the moment!
( Can't find a link to a website!)

Here are some pics of us
(the old folks of the farm)
and other flowers we saw...

Oh!
And those bird houses were really neat!

Charles bought me one of the smaller ones!

They are not really ones to actually put in service for bird housing, tho - too expensive!
I wanted it for inside display! They were all unique!

The one we bought isn't in this pic. I'll show it when I get it set up in my living room. (soon)

~~~
Best part of the day was when our boys came to visit and have a late lunch with us!
Charles fixed steaks on the grill!
This is me with my 2 oldest grandsons ~ Dan and Brian!
Happy, Happy!!!
Junie
