FRUSTRATED as all Get Out!!!

Been trying to change my blog header to a Christmas one...and can't get rid of part of a code... (">)...I'll never understand all this computer stuff...and it's truly amazing that I'm able to figure out as much as I do!! (I hate computers!! hahaha) This is the header I put up there-but with an annoying little blemish on the left side of my picture!

Way Back

Having fun at FaceBook the past few days. It's 'Way Back' week and a lot of people are posting pictures of themselves from the past! We were asked to put an old pic on as a profile picture! This one I used on the profile is when I was in 7th. grade - age 13. :)








You know me... when I get on a subject I take it and run with it...lol- to the extreme sometimes...but that's just the way it is with me.....soo... This 2nd pic is me and my sister-in the Way Back- at ages 7 and 10!

I'm enjoying the FB thing as well as blogging these days and am very happy my sister FINALLY got interested...well- at least she's on FB!

They called last night to say the computer was ready to be picked up , so we made the trip down today to get it! Have just been checking things out and haven't got much of a post together yet- lol- but just wanted to say 'hi' at least!

I'm looking forward to catching up with everyone in the next few days!

Happy New Year!

Dear Blog Friends!

First things first....

Happy New Year to everyone!

This is the first chance I've had to send my good wishes to anyone for the New Year but here are my heartfelt good wishes for one and all! May we ALL have a wonderful new year!

Secondly....

I'm late with my wishes because... my computer finally (on New Year's Eve) did what it had been threatening to do for awhile...it just gave it all up...quit me cold...left me hanging out in the cold! We tried to reinstall everything but were unsuccessful in getting it started back up!

FRUSTRATING!!!

Today Charles and I spent a few hours in Orlando at the Apple store having the computer checked over. For awhile it seemed they might actually fix it today-but -NO-in the end I had to leave it there. :(

Hopefully it will not be a lot more time I will be off-line- as they got right on the problem and have determined what is causing the shut-downs. We were told they will call in a couple of days! It's under warranty so it will be fixed!

OK-

I'm doing this post on Alli's laptop but I won't try to do much else , other than this post-as it's not ideal using an unfamiliar computer! Also I will not have the use of this computer often anyway...but I just wanted to let you all know I'm still in the world !

You can be sure I have missed the daily contacts with everyone and will be back as soon as I can!

Computer problems brewing!

I expect I will be off line very soon as my computer problems did not, magically,
fix themselves! They have intensified dramatically the past couple days and today I can not open my emails without crashing - every time I try!!

Well...I am not so naive that I thought for a minute that the problems would go away. It's just that I was at my wit's end in trying to get this Mac fixed...and with no Mac service in this town!
So I decided to try and make out with it for awhile with the occasional crashes...Over time, though, they have gone from occasional to frequent to almost constant...especially with AOL things which are my E-mail and my IM ... and ESSENTIAL for me!)

~~~You may remember my woes of a couple months ago. I had my computer in the shop for 3 weeks-and got it back-STILL- not fixed! It's hard not being able to talk to these people in person to explain things...I had to send the Mac in by family members- to the place in Orlando!~~~

The crashes are not always AOL connected either...as it sometimes happens with the other browsers too...so I can't say it's just an AOL problem.


OK-2 points here I wanted to make...

ONE:
I have been unable to even open E-mails for most of today so can't reply to any! (I can see them but can't read them!) Just wanted to let that be known- and that I am not ignoring anyone.
Last time I tried today I was able to send an E-mail without crashing...but it seems the opening of E-mails is not possible!

Two:
If I suddenly disappear - you will know what's happening...I'm just saying....LOL- warning you..

Have to get down to Orlando...but not sure when we can...this means days to weeks -offline- when this happens! :( and my computer could die completely before I do that anyway!

Boiled Peanuts~ (Goober Peas)

Oh my...here I go again...off on a winding road of trivia and nonsense!

I find it so funny in Internet contacts with people- how we get sent off on searches, with the least prompting...LOL-Well- I do anyway.

I was talking with a friend online yesterday and our conversation somehow got into nuts...(the kinds we like and do not like)...and peanuts came into it, of course. The peanut, as most people know, is not a nut but a member of the Pea family...but is highly used as a nutty snack - and liked a lot!

Being from the south I know about 'Boiled Peanuts', too, but my friend had never heard of them! ...So of course this sent me off on a search, today!

As I suspected, 'Boiled Peanuts' are of the southern states!

Hi, :) finally figured out a little bit about how to get on and use my sister-in-laws computer...
..just enough to say 'hi!'

We're having a good time...seeing a lot of folks...eating a lot of BBQ!
Had the big Kellum reunion today in Athens area. Our group was smaller this year but everyone seemed to have a great time visiting with each other! (I will have pics when I get home- for the family)

...So ...we will be here at my brother's house tomorrow; hopefully will see the rest of my relatives who are around here before leaving for home early Monday morning.

Life and Times of Junie Rose

Oh my goodness-what a time I have had !

I FINALLY - just this minute - got back here to be able to post!

Now that I'm here I don't know what the heck to, even, post!

Picked the computer up yesterday-after almost 3 weeks in 2 different Apple shops!

K... you can imagine I would be all excited about 'Getting Back'- right?

...And I had a whole lot of pictures to upload and go through- and a lot of emails and blog comments to read and respond to...lots of catching up to do on the forums. I set to work straight away on doing my things!

Within the first hour my computer shut down!!

As you probably recall, THAT was the problem that sent the thing to the shop 3 weeks ago! We had been told the problem was fixed- that some cable had been replaced and that they had had similar problems with this model computer. The problem seemed to have been pinpointed and solved!

I wasn't expecting a problem!!

Well...after a call back to inform them of the continued problem...I continued to work on my stuff (just as if things are cool and fine!) but it shut down another few times before I quit - late last night! You see- the problem I have is that it shuts down but comes back on almost immediately ...so I just continued on with what I needed to do. (just took a lot longer!)

Last night, too, I was unable to access my blog dashboard to make a post. I tried several times to reset my password but was unsuccessful until just awhile ago! LOL- SOOO...here I am!

My gosh... I get the feeling something is telling me to give it all up!!

But I'm not gonna!

Got the word-late-late - this afternoon that my computer is fixed!... ...but... the bad news was it was just at closing time for the store (in Orlando) and here we are 85 miles north of there!...Also- tomorrow is out -as we have a cook- out planned for family and , too, the store is only open  from 12 to 6!  :(   Oh well- I've waited this long so another day will be a 'piece of cake!'

I can hardly believe I will finally 'get back!'

Sooo  much has happened in the time I have been gone ! I won't know where to begin in catching up with everyone and  with all the recent events in my life  and world news too! LOL- If yer lucky I won't even try to comment on each and every thing that has happened in the news recently- or my life either!

....Oh-I HAVE been around a little but have not done any  (-or not very much-) reading of blogs and leaving of comments! Just didn't have the time or freedom to do much!

Still.....

I'm still floundering out here without my computer...Have had no call about when it will be ready-and this is the 5th day ( since the call of last Thursday) of  what they said should be 5 to 7 days!

 Hate this stuff!

Anyway- just have to go with whatever comes down in this life and make the best of it! 

Have to concentrate on the medical issues tomorrow and the next day and those things are the most important, of course!

Me again! hahaha!!

Hello!

Well, I'm back but not really- just a quick little visit!  I'm still without computer so all I can do is just 'touch base' with you guys, as the popular saying goes!

Too much happening  to even go into any of it ...I mean world events etc- Lots of worrisome stuff and sadness and bad things happening!

Charles and I have been doing a lot of gardening things the past few days and are getting the place spruced up. Lots of flowers blooming and  green grass growing!!

Also- we both have some doctor's appointments  happening!  I had a toe problem that had to be taken care of this week! lol- Did I ever tell you about my weird little toes? No??  :)  Well,  the  full story will have to wait for a later time as I'm on Alli's computer and my time and  capabilities are limited on this computer!  :) Suffice to say I'm getting my toes straightened so they won't turn under and cause me pain and stress! 

( Got more of that stuff than I need!)

Charles is scheduled for more skin surgery on July 1st, so please keep  your good , positive thoughts and prayers  open for us.

I don't really expect to be back online before , prolly, next Friday!   :(   It's been rough, folks!!

Hi!

 Well, here I am - back but just for the moment!

(Is it me for the moment??) 

I am on Alli's computer again but can't seem to get the hang of it too well! 

 (Happens when you get old, folks!!  :(  )  All I will be able to do is leave a post here!

Anyway,  just wanted to say I finally got a call back from the 2nd. computer store...and they say my computer has been examined and it's a cable inside that will require  having a part ordered ...and then the repairs done!  Am told it will probably be another 5 to 7 days...(but could be sooner!!)  ;( 

 This has been just plain AWFUL for me!  I know it's only just been a week and a day- but it seems like several weeks to me! ( Yep-I guess I really AM addicted to blogging and all the other fun stuff I do on here- but- so what!!)

Meanwhile-back at the ranch... :) ... This past week I have been doing a good bit of gardening -and it's been quite fun, actually!  Have some more roses to plant- maybe tomorrow.

  Have also watched some TV- especially at night.  I have come to realize, all over again, that TV doesn't have a lot of appeal for me! 

 Lots of stuff happening in the news tho, and it's hard to keep up with everything at the pace things are moving! Some scary stuff going on these days, all around the world!

Some sad happenings today and recently with the deaths of some well known people!

Hope all my blog pals are doing well- and I will be looking forward to catching up with you all-I hope it will be soon!
