Hi Blog friends!  

This is the post from my Face Book page yesterday!

It was rainy and windy here yesterday, due to that tropical storm...today is sunny and bright!

I have my baby Drakey today!   :)

"Rain, rain go away-come again another day! Little Drakey wants to play!

Joy had invited 2 young mommies and their babies over for a gathering and play date at her house today! I guess plans have changed-at least it has for the playing in Drake's pool!  ...And it's not a good day for anyone to be out for any reason."

Joy's guests came, even with the rain. Charles and I went over there too, but just for a short while, so I didn't get many pics of the babies together. Only a couple of my baby Drake!!

I was not feeling well so we came home early!

In Nov, 2011, I went on a trip with my girls to NYC!

This is my granddaughter, photographing the ducks in Central Park!

Every little town should have a duck pond in their park!

Statue of Liberty

The 9-11 Memorial site and the Statue of Liberty  were the two things I had looked forward to most of all on our trip to NY.  We were able to  accomplish both,  but on different days!

Both required high security checks of visitors, the same as boarding checks at the airports.

 The lines were long to get in (both places) but we didn't mind . These places were always at the top of our 'must see' list.

 What a thrilling experience this day was!

Skywatch Friday-Sept 17, 2010- Perfect Central Florida Sky

Today we visited  some of our family in Orlando. It was a beautiful day  and we enjoyed our 2 hour ride from our home in  Ocala.

The sky was just the way I like it best...bluest of blue with an abundance of white puffy clouds.

We stopped by a lake on the way and I was able to get a few sky shots to share!

It's Watery Wednesday!

Well, I'm a little late but I hope I can get this in!

Finally I have a water lily bloom in my pond-the first one this year!

I went out and got some pics. I love the water drops on the flower and the reflections and shadows in the pond ~ and the bright yellow color!  I think it's very beautiful-don't you?

 

Lol- This would have worked for several of the picture memes I like to do...

In this last pic the camera lens was fogged up with the humidity but I like the way it looks! :)

The other pic shows a bit more of the lily pads and pond.

I have fish in there but they quickly swam out of sight when I tried to get my pictures!

This is from 2006 - a sunset across a north Florida lake.

The colors were spectacular and I liked the reflections of the plants and the bird.

This is in my fish pond in our back yard but it's not a recent shot.

These water lilies bloom from May to September so I don't have long to wait for some new blooms!

I love the shadows the fern makes on the pads in the water;
an ever-changing show!

This is one of my all-time favorite rose pictures.
I've missed my roses the past few months
so I was happy to come across this shot again in my files.

OK-You might argue that it's more a pink than red...
but I'm gonna try and pass it off as Ruby Red! :)



You can't deny it's pretty! :)
