Here in north Fl (sadly) we don't get the colorful leaves in autumn.  In fact, it still looks a lot like summer here, but I do notice a slight coolness in the air; especially early mornings.

We still have a lot of flowers blooming, though, and a few are in shades that make me think of the fall colors of the places further north!

...And I DO have fake fall leaves to make my place look festive!

My granddaughter, Alli, was home for a couple days. She and her mom were working on her costume for a Halloween/masquerade-party/dance at college.

She's very much into Swing Dancing and the ones in charge of the dances sponsor this event

each year for Halloween. The theme this year is "Alice In Wonderland," and the guests were asked to dress as characters from that Tale! Alli chose "The Mad Hatter" as the character she would be.
(partly because she's such a HAT person, anyway!!) :)

Alli and her mom did a great job creating this costume-IMHO- especially as they did most of it while they were babysitting Drakey for Chris, Joy and I to go to that concert Wednesday night!

My Alli is so cool!!

These are some pictures we made on a trip to visit our  first 2 grandsons and their parents in January,1986. They were living in California, stationed at Fort Ord near Monterey!

These pics were taken near Lake Tahoe!  What a fun day with those little boys and the SNOW!!

   Had da boy here today...
   
   He's getting ahead with the seasons...had on another Christmas bib today :)

    ...Lucky he did have his bib on, though, because he had green beans for his lunch.
   
   I told him...

   "I don't know if you're gonna like this, Drakey -I sure wouldn't!"

    I felt guilty when I started feeding him
   (as I ate my Oreo with double stuff!!)

Health issues-Oct 3, 2012

I'm not feeling well at all today-and for a few days now- I have what I think is neuropathy in my legs and can barely walk. It's like what I had a few years back which the doc said was neuropathy-and I was DOWN for 3 mo. that time!...Keep reminding myself I must keep a positive attitude...because I'm needed here! (Drakey needs me!!)

Am looking forward to the debate tonight. I'm hoping-and praying- for some good signs of change to emerge!
