I like these little guys and only see them occasionally, so any chance encounter is a treat for me.

Update for Charles~

Update for Charles:

Happy news-

A heart stent was not necessary after all. The damage that showed from the stress test was of previous damage (according to this doctor!) and the heart had compensated by producing other arteries around the damaged area!
(No- it doesn't make a lot of sense to me either but what can you do but believe what the doctor says?)

There are other factors involved- such as a very low Vit B-12 reading that may account for the fatigue and shortness of breath! Also wt- and lack of organized exercise plays a roll here.
(according to the doctor!)

~So we have a game plan!~


Anyway- for the moment-Happy-Happy!!

Health Update for Charles!

Tomorrow -8:OO AM- Charles has to be at the hospital for a heart stent procedure!

If all goes well it will be only a few hours stay-hopefully, not an overnight or extended time in hospital.

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers!

This old fashioned rose grows here at our place in northern Florida!

I've had this one for many years ~ transported it from our home in Miami
when we moved here more than 22 years ago!

I love the fragrance and the full and frilly look of this rose - and it's almost always in bloom!

This is 'Cooper!' He found a perfect spot to nap today. This is the sunny spot made by our skylight in our living room. I like the shadows that contrast with that rectangle of light! That's my grandson, Brian, disturbing the little guy's nap!

Father's Day wishes!

Happy Father's Day to all you dads and granddads out there-and hope all had happy times celebrating being together with families!

We had a very good day here although missed all the ones who couldn't be here with us. However, Charles (our dad and granddad of this family-and my husband) had calls and nice conversations with the kids who couldn't be here!
(The ones not able to be here -Tam and Zach-Terry and Marc!)


We were a small group for the main meal but Ohhh-what a meal! :)
And I guess the best part was the fresh corn-on-the cob from the garden!
I also made cubed steak and potato salad and cole slaw- and hamburgers on the grill and Joy made some yummy desserts for us!

Dan had to work early and Chris had to work late (so had to sleep) so they had to eat on the run-either coming or going! :) But we at least got to be with them a little while!

Charles said he had a wonderful day - and I think we all did!

This is our newest baby calf. She was born early this week. I named her 'Rain' because of the heavy rain we had the night of the day she was born!

She certainly looks sparkling clean and shiny, doesn't she? This is due to the rain showers, no doubt!


The recent rains have made the pasture grow lush and green-resulting in happy cows-and bulls!

It's time again to share all things Ruby Red in our lives!

This is 'Alli's 'Cooper,'... living a doggie's life!

Alli told me this was the pup's first reaction after she presented him with his new bed! :)

Now, someone please tell me...HOW did that little guy know just what to do with that nice new and soft bed?

Maybe he's thinking of the Beatles song that goes..."It's been a hard day's night-and I've been working like a dog!" Maybe little Coop is just practicing-in anticipation of those hard day's, nights ahead!

Whatever~ I think he's got it down pat! :)

BTW-A friend told me when I say-Alli's Cooper it sounds like I'm calling the pup - 'Alice Cooper!'

Lol-
I think not! One Alice Cooper is quite enough in this life
