~
This autumn day and this mid October week finds Charles and me immersed in a long string of doctor appointments...which is becoming the norm for us; well, more so for C. than me!
(That's a darn good thing too, since I am the one without the additional health insurance...just medicare coverage!)
Yesterday, though, I did have a visit to give a blood sample at my doctor's office - for a followup visit next week... (a cholesterol problem) Today my appointment was with an audio specialist...(nothing new or unusual here!)
Charles also had to go to another office yesterday for another sample of blood at his heart doctor. (a problem with thinning his blood to prevent clots) Friday he has yet another appointment with a different doctor for a different- though related- problem. Early November he has more surgery for skin cancer on his face.
( Curable with the cutting out)
Charles and I both went for flu shots yesterday, also!
(so at least that's one less worry)
So many appointments on our calendar that I'm finding it hard to work in all the things I need to do- and should do....like eye exams and dental exams...
This is most definitely 'The Autumn' of our lives, I'd say!

Does all that sound gloomy?
Sorry!!

Here's some good cheer for fall!
October's Party
George Cooper
"October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came-
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band."
(Fall leaves from NC)
Cheers!
