Happy Birthday, Maryjoy!

  :) Yes- we celebrated our daughter-in-laws birthday again today! We had a combined party for Joy and our grandson, Zach earlier this month! Today is her actual birthday.

At the time of the other party, we thought we'd be away on Joy's birthday and  we didn't wanna leave her out! Turns out we won't be going to Alabama for my husband's family reunion until Aug 5th.  :) Lol- So Joy got 2 celebrations!! 

This party was at my son's and Joy's house. We had a fine time, with just a few of their friends, Charles and me and Alli/with Cooper - also my sister and her husband!

These are some pics of our day~some at our house but most at Joy and Chris' house.

We had a good day!

Hair Cut

'WHO'-me?

Yep- finally got my hair cut!! :)

 Now-don't laugh!!  :)   It's really not that bad... This pic was made with the  Photo Booth camera on my computer and it sort of distorts any face- EVEN a cute one (like my granddaughter, I mean) The top of the image seems a little pointed--or something...anyway... just not quite right!

Oh- but I'm ok with the cut- it FEELS good even if it doesn't look so great! And my hair always looks better after I've done it myself-after a new cut, I mean.

Whatever - it is what it is!!

We will be going on our annual reunion trip to Alabama next week-will be gone, I think  from the 5th. -thru the 9th-or 10th.

(The hair cut was on my to-do list-so I'm glad I can now check that off!)

Speaking of 'Who,' (I was)... had a great WHO listening night last night. Watched several parts of the 'Tommy' movie vids! Had a fun time!

Family stuff-July 18, 2010

~~~

Once again we had a family get-together, and with everyone here-at least part of the day- except my grandson Daniel!  :( 

 I was sorry Dan had to work and couldn't be here - again!

(My oldest grandsons-Dan and Brian- at ages 3 years and 1 year)

Both our Sons-In-Law were home. They're both truckers now and don't  get home often- so we were glad we could have as many of the family here as we did.

My son had to work also, so he had to sleep most of the day and was just here for a short time before going to work! Oh well, we do what we have to these days!

My D-I-L- made 2 yummy Key Lime pies for our dessert-Plus some chocolate banana-nut cake. I also had made some muffins-chocolate chip and blueberry...and we had ice cream!

Lol- ok- I put the goodies first but we also had hamburgers-grilled by Charles and I made my usual baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad, and a squash casserole. For good measure I made chicken salad too- for those who are not too crazy about hamburgers!

  (that would be me!!   :)  )
